Transliteration:( Kazzabal lazeena min qablihim fa ataahumul 'azaabu min haisu laa yash'uroon )
"Those who falsified before them, faced punishment whence they knew not [71]."
This verse refers to the previous nations who also denied the truth and rejected Allah’s messengers.
They were arrogant and heedless, thinking that punishment was a distant or unlikely outcome.
Yet Allah’s punishment struck them unexpectedly, at a time and place they never anticipated.
This highlights that one of the core traits of disbelievers is negligence—they remain unaware or indifferent to the consequences of their rebellion.
Their ignorance was not due to lack of information, but due to deliberate denial and pride, which ultimately led to their ruin.
