Transliteration:( Wa laz zulumaatu wa lan noor )
"And nor the darkness and the light [65]."
This verse symbolically refers to infidelity and Islam.
The word “darkness” (ظلمات) is in the plural, reflecting the many forms and branches of disbelief.
The word “light” (نور) is in the singular, signifying that truth is one—that is, Islam.
This illustrates that truth stands alone while falsehood is fragmented, and that the clarity of faith cannot be compared to the confusion of disbelief.
