Transliteration:( Wa ammaa Samoodu fahadinaahum fastahabbul 'ama 'alal huda fa akhazathum saa'iqatul 'azaabil hooni bimaa kaanoo yaksiboon )
47 It tells us that the work of the Prophet is indeed the work of Allah Almighty. The people of Thamud were shown the guidance by them Prophet Hazrat Salih (On whom he peace), but Allah Almighty says that We had shown it.
Thus there is no objection against the verse. when Almighty Allah hecomes the provider of prudence then it means to lead the person to obtain his goal and that after obtaining this guidance it would be impossible to go astray.
48 In that Hazrat Jibrael shrieked loudly at them as a result of which all of them were destroyed. Since this schrick was a destructive sound it is called thunder because sometimes thunder kills people.
It is possible that first ( shrick of Hazrat Jibrael came to them and followed by thunder and lightening from sky. Thus, there is no inconsistency in verse and the following verse: "Then a uproar overtook them" (S23:V41) In verse, a particular type of punishment is mentioned and in the other verse another type punishment is being mentioned.
49 The punishment descended upon infidels due to their evil doings and evil belief while their minor children, their animals their lands suffered the punishment due to actions of these wretches.
