Transliteration:( Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon (section 1) )
Surely, those who believe and do righteous deeds shall have endless [16] rewards.
The “endless reward” mentioned here refers to the eternal bounties of Paradise, which will never diminish or cease.
According to Tafseer Khazainul Irfaan, this also includes:
A believer who regularly performed good deeds, but later becomes incapable due to old age, illness, or any form of helplessness—he shall continue to receive the full reward for those deeds, based on his prior sincerity and habit.
Likewise, the concept of Sadaqa-e-Jariyah (ongoing charity) applies: if a believer leaves behind a pious child, beneficial knowledge, or a lasting charitable act, he shall continue to receive rewards in the grave.
This verse, therefore, reflects both Allah’s mercy and generosity—rewards are not restricted to the deeds done during life, but also those which continue through one’s legacy and intention.
The tafsir of Surah Fussilat verse 8 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Fussilat ayat 6 which provides the complete commentary from verse 6 through 8.
(41:8) As to those who have faith and do good works, surely theirs shall be a never-ending reward.[10]
10. The words ajrun ghaira mamnun in the original have two other meanings also:
(1) That it will be a reward which will never decrease and diminish.
(2) That this reward will not be given with reminders of good done, like the gift made by a miserly person, who keeps on reminding the beneficiary of his favor if at all he gives away anything.
