Transliteration:( Yawma laa yanfa'uz zaalimeena ma'ziratuhum wa lahumul la'natu wa lahum soooud daar )
"The day when the excuse of the unjust people will not profit [134], and for them is the curse [135] and for them is the evil abode."
On the Day of Judgment, the excuses of the unjust, meaning the disbelievers and habitual wrongdoers, will have no value or benefit. This implies that:
The repentance of believers, even if made at the time of death, can still be accepted through Allah’s mercy,
But the faith or repentance of disbelievers, once they see the reality of the Hereafter, will not be accepted, as it is no longer based on belief in the unseen.
Thus, true repentance must occur before death, while faith still holds merit.
For such unjust souls, threefold consequences are highlighted:
Curse (La’nat) – meaning they will be rejected from Allah’s mercy,
Mutual cursing – even the inhabitants of Hell will curse one another,
Angels and the believers will also rebuke and curse them,
Most severely, Allah Himself curses them — a sign of complete rejection.
The verse concludes with "the evil abode", which refers to Hell — a place of eternal disgrace and torment, exclusively for the disbelievers, not sinful believers who will eventually be shown mercy.
