Quran-11:101 Surah Hud English Translation,Transliteration and Tafsir(Tafseer).

Transliteration:( Wa maa zalamnaahum wa laakin zalamooo anfusahum famaaa aghnat 'anhum aalihatuhumul latee yad'oona min doonil laahi min shai'il lammaa jaaa'a amru Rabbika wa maa zaadoohum ghaira tatbeeb )

101. And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. Their deities, which they invoked besides Allah, did not help them at all when the Command of your Lord came, and they only increased them in ruin. [203] (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

(101) And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than Allāh when there came the command of your Lord. And they did not increase them in other than ruin. (Saheen International Translation)

202. By this is meant that they had not benefitted from the worship of their false gods. Here the verb they worshipped is used to denote an act of worshipping. It should be remembered that the worship of idols in any case is false because these deities are false.

If one worships Allah Almighty according to the teachings of the Prophet then it is true but if it is done with the intention of opposing the Prophet it would be false because though the deity is a true one, the worshipper, and his worship are both false Both these worships would not be beneficial.

Though the infidels of Makkah would perform pilgrimage of the sacred Ka'bah, and the previous non-believing people too would worship Allah Almighty, all these were not just useless, but harmful as well.

203.From these verses we learn that the company of the faithless and their obedience is a cause of one's destruction, just as the company of the faithful and their obedience is a means of obtaining Divine mercy.
