Transliteration:( Qaala yaa qawmi ara'aitum in kuntu 'alaa baiyinatim mir Rabbee wa aataanee rahmatam min 'indihee fa'um miyat 'alaikum anulzimuku moohaa wa antum lahaa kaarihoon )
62. This tells us that prophethood is not achieved through good deeds, but through the special bounty and mercy of Allah Almighty. However, this mercy is sometimes obtained through the prayer of a Prophet e.g. the prophethood of Hazrat Haroon and Hazrat Lut (On them be peace).Â
63. From this emerge two issues:
1. The objective of showing a miracle is to establish the truth of his prophethood and not force the people to accept faith. If this was not the case then the Holy Prophet who can make the stones to recite the Kalima would most certainly have made Abu Jahl do the same. There is no reward for accepting faith by force. Likewise, the purpose of holy war is to break the power and strength of infidelity and not to spread Islam by force.Â
2. Only that person will be blessed with faith whose heart does not show contempt for faith inspiring things and the Prophets of Allah Disgust and faith cannot be together.

28. He said: “O my people! Tell me, if I have a clear proof from my Lord, and a mercy (prophethood) has come to me from Him, but that (mercy) has been obscured from your sight. Shall we compel you (to accept) it when you have a strong hatred for it
Allah says, informing about the response of Nuh to his people,
(Tell me, if I have a clear proof from my Lord,) Bayyinah means certainty, a clear matter, and truthful prophethood. That is the greatest mercy from Allah upon him (Nuh) and them (his people).
(but that (mercy) has been obscured from your sight.) “Obscured from your sight” in this verse means, `it was hidden from you and you are not guided to it. Thus, you ﴿people﴾ did not know its importance so you hastily rejected and denied it.’
(Shall we compel you (to accept) it) This means, “Should we force you to accept it, while you actually detest it.”
(11:28) Noah said: ‘My people! If I base myself on a clear evidence from my Lord, and I have also been blessed by His mercy[34] to which you have been blind, how can we force it upon you despite your aversion to it?
34. This is the same thing that has been put into the mouth of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in (Surah Hud, Ayat 17). That is, At first I recognized the reality of Tauhid by observing keenly the signs of God in the universe and in my own self. Then the same was confirmed by revelation to me. This shows that all the Prophets acquired the knowledge of the Unseen by observation and contemplation. Then Allah blessed them with the actual knowledge of the same at the time of their appointment as Prophets.
