Transliteration:( Wa yazeedul laahul lazeenah tadaw hudaa; wal baaqiyaatus saalihaatu khairun 'inda Rabbika sawaabanw wa khairum maraddaa )
"And Allah increases in guidance those who have adopted the path of guidance [135]. And the lasting righteous deeds are better with your Lord in terms of reward [136] and better in terms of return [137]."
This may mean that in the world, Allah grants the guided ones firmness upon faith and a good end. Or, it refers to the Hereafter, when they will be blessed with true, witnessing knowledge—what they believed in by hearing, they will now see clearly.
All actions that remain safe from worldly ruin—such as sincere belief, pure worship, and honesty in dealings—are included in "lasting righteous deeds." These are superior in status and everlasting in reward.
The wealth of disbelievers becomes a burden in the Hereafter, whereas even the poverty of believers brings honour. Thus, the apparent hardship of the believer holds more eternal benefit than the luxury of the disbeliever.
76. And Allah increases in guidance those who walk aright. And the righteous good deeds that last are better with your Lord for reward and better for resort.
After Allah mentions the extended time and respite that is allowed to those who are in misguidance, increasing them in misguidance, He informs of the increase in guidance of those who are rightly guided. Similarly He says,
(And whenever there comes down a Surah, some of them say: “Which of you has had his faith increased by it”) ﴿9:124﴾ And the following Ayah also shows this. Concerning Allah’s statement,
(And the righteous good deeds that last) Its explanation has already preceded in Surat Al-Kahf, along with a lengthy discussion concerning it and the related Hadiths.
((they) are better with your Lord for reward.) meaning the recompense and reward.
(and better for resort.) meaning in the final outcome, the result for its doer.
(19:76) (On the contrary), Allah increases in guidance those who follow the Right Way.[46] Lasting acts of righteousness are better in the sight of your Lord as reward and conducive to a better end.
46. That is, On every critical occasion, Allah guides them to make right decisions and helps them to adopt the right way, and protects them from evil and wrong things; thus they go on making more and more progress on the right way.
[825]- i.e., in the sight or evaluation of Allāh.
