Transliteration:( Wa ja'alal qamara feehinna nooranw wa ja'alash shamsa siraajaa )
"And placed the moon within them as a light, and made the sun a lamp?"
The moon is positioned in the first heaven, and only half of it is illuminated at a time.
Despite this, its light reaches all the heavens because they are transparent.
This explains why the verse says, "within them", as the moon’s glow spreads across the skies.
The sun is called a lamp because it produces and provides light.
Unlike the moon, which only reflects light, the sun emits its own bright and powerful rays.
The moon and stars receive illumination from the sun, showing its role as a source of light.
