📖 Commentary of Verse 28 (71:28 Surah Nuh)

"O my Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who enters my house believing, and the believing men and the believing women [42], and do not increase the unjust except in destruction [43]."

✅ Supplication for the Believers [42]

Hazrat Nuh (on whom be peace) ends his mission with a heartfelt du‘a:

  • 🙏 He asks Allah (اللَّهُ ) to forgive:

    • Himself,

    • His believing parents — proving they were upon faith,

    • Any believer who entered his house, showing that his home was a spiritual refuge,

    • And all believing men and women till the end of time.

  • 🏠 His house symbolized a place of divine safety for the believers — a reflection of the protection Prophets offer.

🔴 Destruction for the Unjust [43]

  • Hazrat Nuh then prays that the unjust be increased only in ruin.

    • This includes even his own wife Wahila and son Kanaan, who were disbelievers and thus included in this curse.

  • 📖 This is a clear proof that divine punishment can reach even close relatives if they oppose truth.

  • 🔥 This verse reflects perfect justice — no injustice, no favoritism, only truth and consequences.
