Transliteration:( Wa jaaa'at kullu nafsim ma'ahaa saaa'iqunw wa shaheed )
36. This, too, is for the infidels, who would be urged by one angel, like the shepherd urges the flock, while the other angel or the limbs of his body will testify against him. Both these angels would be taking this person with utter disgust, to the field of accountability. The believer would be taken to it on his sacrifice animal in such a way as a groom is taken to the wedding procession. Says Allah Almighty "The Day We shall carry the duty-bour (pious) towards the Most Affectionate guests" (S19:V85).
The tafsir of Surah Qaf verse 21 by Ibn Kathir is unavailable here.
Please refer to Surah Qaf ayat 16 which provides the complete commentary from verse 16 through 22.
(50:21) Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness.[25]
25. Most probably this implies the same two angels who had been appointed for compiling the record of the words and deeds of the person in the world. On the Day of Resurrection, when every man will rise from his grave on the sounding of the Trumpet, the two angels will come forth immediately and take him into their custody. One of them will drive him to the divine court and the other will be carrying his record.
[1530]- i.e., one angel driving the soul to the Judgement and one to testify as to its deeds.
