Transliteration:( Wazkur Ismaa'eela wal Yasa'a wa Zal-Kifli wa kullun minal akhyaar )
"And remember Ismaeel and Yas'a and Zulkifl [95]. And they were all excellent ones."
In this verse, Hazrat Ismaeel, Hazrat Yas’a, and Hazrat Zulkifl (peace be upon them) are mentioned with honour, described as among the “excellent ones”, highlighting their noble character and esteemed position.
According to Tafseer Roohul Ma‘ani, Hazrat Yas’a (identified as Yas’a ibn Akhtoob) was initially the deputy of Hazrat Ilyas (peace be upon him) and was later granted Prophethood.
Hazrat Zulkifl is reported to be the cousin of Hazrat Yas’a, and it is affirmed that he too was a Prophet. His residence was in Syria, and he was known for his patience, truthfulness, and righteousness, making him deserving of the title “excellent” in the sight of Allah.
This verse is a clear indication of their high spiritual rank, and a reminder that being steadfast and righteous earns honour in Allah’s sight.
