Quran-34:41 Surah Saba English Translation,Transliteration and Tafsir(Tafseer).

قَالُواْ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِن دُونِهِمۖ بَلۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ ٱلۡجِنَّۖ أَكۡثَرُهُم بِهِم مُّؤۡمِنُونَ

Transliteration:( Qaaloo Subhaanaka Anta waliyyunaa min doonihim bal kaanoo ya'budoonal jinna aksaruhum bihim mu'minoon )

41.They shall submit: "Glorified be You. You are our Protector, not they". In fact, they used to worship [121]the (devil) jinn, as most (122) of them were believers (123) in them. (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

(41) They will say, "Exalted are You! You, [O Allāh], are our benefactor excluding [i.e., not] them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them." (Saheen International Translation)

121. Because they were obeying these devils in their worship. Thus, secretly they became the worshippers of these devils and not us.

122. Here the word 'most' denotes all, because all the infidels were believers of the devils. Or, them is the antecedent of man, in which case it would mean most human beings were believing in the devils, and just a few were believers (Tafseer Roohul Mu'ani). 

123. Here the word faith is used literally and not in terms of religious laws.

(34:41) They will reply: “Glory to You! You are our Protector, not they.[62] Nay, they rather used to worship the jinn. Most of them believe in them.”

Ala-Maududi

(34:41) They will reply: “Glory to You! You are our Protector, not they.[62] Nay, they rather used to worship the jinn. Most of them believe in them.”


62. That is, they will answer: You are Pure and Exalted far above that another should be made a partner in Godhead with you. We have no connection with these people. We are not responsible for them nor for what they did. We are Your servants only.
