Transliteration:( Qaala hal aamanukum 'alaihi illaa kamaa amintukum 'alaaa akheehi min qabl; fal laahu khairun haafizanw wa Huwa arhamur Raahimeen )
"He said, 'May I trust you about him in the way I trusted you before about his brother [134]? Then Allah is the best Guard; He is the Most Merciful of the merciful [135].'"
This tells us that a person who deceives you once should be cautious of him—once bitten, twice shy. It is stated in a Hadith that a believer cannot fall in the same hole twice.
When sending Hazrat Yusuf (on whom be peace), the father had forgotten the remembrance of Allah Almighty, as a result of which they were separated. Now he was fully conscious of Allah Almighty, and due to this, those separated were brought together. From this we learn that a Prophet is immediately alerted of even his trivial error. We further learn that the remembrance of Allah Almighty is an excellent means to ward off any calamity.
