Quran-12:98 Surah Surah-yusuf English Translation,Transliteration and Tafsir(Tafseer).

قَالَ سَوۡفَ أَسۡتَغۡفِرُ لَكُمۡ رَبِّيٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

Transliteration:( Qaala sawfa astaghfiru lakum Rabbeee innahoo Huwal Ghafoorur Raheem )

98. He said, "Soon I will ask my Lord to forgive you. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful [206]." (Kanzul Imaan Translation)

(98) He said, "I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." (Saheen International Translation)

206. The reason for declining to pray at that time was because the heart was not fully enthusiastic of achieving acceptance. May be Hazrat Yaqoob (on whom be peace) was waiting for the dawn, or for meeting Hazrat Yusuf (on whom be peace). From this we learn that the dua made during the morning receives greater acceptability.

Ala-Maududi
