Transliteration:( Qul bi fadlil laahi wa bi rahmatihee fa bi zaalika fal yafrahoo huwa khairun mimmaa yajma'oon )
"Say, 'In Allah's bounty and in His mercy, let them rejoice. That is better than what they accumulate [161].'" (Kanzul Imaan Translation)
Some scholars interpret Allah's bounty as the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), who is the greatest blessing of Allah. Others see the Qur'an as Allah's bounty and the Prophet as His mercy. Allah says, "And We sent you not but as a mercy for all the worlds" (S21:V107). Both interpretations highlight the Prophet and the Qur'an as the ultimate gifts and mercy to humanity.
This verse encourages rejoicing in Allah's bounty and mercy, such as during the month of Ramadan and the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Celebrating these occasions is a form of worship, as it expresses gratitude for Allah's immense blessings. The Prophet is undoubtedly the greatest bounty and mercy from Allah.
The joy derived from Allah’s mercy and bounty is far greater than any worldly accumulation. It is an act of worship, and expressing this joy will earn immense rewards from Allah, making it superior to all material wealth.
