Friday Prayers

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ 

فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ

Transliteration:( Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo izaa noodiya lis-Salaati miny yawmil Jumu’ati fas’aw ilaa zikril laahi wa zarul bai’; zaalikum khayrul lakum in kuntum ta’lamoon )

9.O you who believe! When the call (23) is made for Salaatul Jumu’ah (24), then hasten (25) to the rememberance of Allah, and leave (26) aside business. That is better for you if you know (27),

Traditions / Hadith about Jumah

Sealing of the Heart:

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever misses three Jumu’ahs out of negligence, Allah will place a seal over his heart.” This emphasizes the importance of attending Friday congregational prayers and not neglecting them.

Blessings of Friday:

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “One of the best of your days is Friday. On this day, Adam was created and on this day he died. The Trumpet will be blown on this day, and all creatures will swoon. So send a great deal of blessings upon me on this day, for your blessings will be presented to me.” This Hadith highlights the significance of Friday and encourages believers to increase their prayers and blessings on this blessed day.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “One of the best of your days is Friday. On this day, Adam was created and on this day he died, on this day the Trumpet will be blown, and on this day all creatures will swoon. So send a great deal of salah upon me on this day, for your salah will be presented to me.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), how will our salah be presented to you when you have decomposed (after death)?” He said: “Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the prophets, peace be upon them.”
