    بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

     

    وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةٗ لِّيَكُونُواْ لَهُمۡ عِزّٗا

    En zij hebben naast Allah goden aangenomen, dat zij hen eer, macht en glorie moge geven.

    كَلَّاۚ سَيَكۡفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ضِدًّا

    Welnee, maar zij zullen hun (de valse goden ,dat kan van alles zijn zelfs je eigen nafs) aanbidding ontkennen en hun tegenstanders worden.

    أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمۡ أَزّٗا

    Zien jullie dan niet dat Wij de duivels op de ongelovigen afsturen om hen te misleiden [1]?

    فَلَا تَعۡجَلۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمۡ عَدّٗا

    Haast je dus niet tegen hen; Wij tellen al hun daden nauwkeurig.

    يَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ وَفۡدٗا

    De Dag waarop Wij de godvrezenden tot de meest Barmhartige zullen verzamelen.

    وَنَسُوقُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرۡدٗا

    En Wij zullen de misdadigers in een dorstige staat naar de hel drijven.

    لَّا يَمۡلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَهۡدٗا

    Niemand zal de macht voor bemiddeling hebben behalve degene die toestemming daarvoor van de meest Barmhartige heeft gekregen.

    وَقَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وَلَدٗا

    En zij zeggen: “De Barmhartige heeft zich een zoon toegekend.”

    لَّقَدۡ جِئۡتُمۡ شَيۡـًٔا إِدّٗا

    Voorwaar, jullie beweren iets vreselijks en onaanvaardbaar.

    تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرۡنَ مِنۡهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلۡجِبَالُ هَدًّا

    Waardoor de hemelen bijna scheuren, en de aarde bijna splijt en de bergen bijna in stukken vallen,
