    بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

     

    إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ

    31. sauf Iblîs, qui refusa de se joindre à ceux qui s’étaient prosternés.

    قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ

    32. « Ô Iblîs, dit (Allah), pourquoi n’es tu pas parmi ceux qui se sont prosternés ? »

    قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ

    33. Il dit : « Je ne me serais jamais prosterné devant un humain que Tu as créé d’argile et de boue lisse. »

    قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٞ

    34. « Sors d’ici ! dit (Allah), tu es vraiment lapidé,

    وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكَ ٱللَّعۡنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

    35. et maudit sois-tu jusqu’au Jour de la Rétribution ! »

    قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِيٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ

    36. Il dit : « Seigneur ! Donne-moi un répit jusqu’au jour où ils (les hommes) seront ressuscités. »

    قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِينَ

    37. Allah dit alors : « Tu es de ceux à qui répit est accordé,

    إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ

    38. jusqu’au jour du moment connu. »

    قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِيَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

    39. « Seigneur, dit-il, comme Tu m’as égaré, j’embellirai à leurs yeux (le péché) sur terre et les induirai tous à l’égarement.

    إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

    40. excepté, parmi eux, (ceux de) Tes serviteurs que Tu auras élus. »
