    بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

     

    قَالُوٓاْ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَأَرۡسِلۡ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ

    അവര്‍ (ഫിര്‍ഔനോട്‌) പറഞ്ഞു: ഇവന്നും ഇവന്‍റെ സഹോദരന്നും താങ്കള്‍ കുറച്ച് ഇടകൊടുക്കുക. നഗരങ്ങളില്‍ ചെന്ന് വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടാന്‍ ആളുകളെ അയക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക.

    يَأۡتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَٰحِرٍ عَلِيمٖ

    എല്ലാ വിവരമുള്ള ജാലവിദ്യക്കാരെയും അവര്‍ താങ്കളുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുവരട്ടെ.

    وَجَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجۡرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ

    ജാലവിദ്യക്കാര്‍ ഫിര്‍ഔന്‍റെ അടുത്ത് വന്നു. അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു: ഞങ്ങളാണ് ജയിക്കുന്നവരെങ്കില്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു നല്ല പ്രതിഫലമുണ്ടായിരിക്കുമെന്ന് തീര്‍ച്ചയാണല്ലോ?

    قَالَ نَعَمۡ وَإِنَّكُمۡ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ

    ഫിര്‍ഔന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു: അതെ, തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നിങ്ങള്‍ (എന്‍റെ അടുക്കല്‍) സാമീപ്യം നല്‍കപ്പെടുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലായിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

    قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلۡقِيَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُلۡقِينَ

    അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു: ഹേ, മൂസാ ഒന്നുകില്‍ നീ ഇടുക. അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഞങ്ങളാകാം ഇടുന്നത്.‌

    قَالَ أَلۡقُواْۖ فَلَمَّآ أَلۡقَوۡاْ سَحَرُوٓاْ أَعۡيُنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱسۡتَرۡهَبُوهُمۡ وَجَآءُو بِسِحۡرٍ عَظِيمٖ

    മൂസാ പറഞ്ഞു: നിങ്ങള്‍ ഇട്ടുകൊള്ളുക. അങ്ങനെ ഇട്ടപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ ആളുകളുടെ കണ്ണുകെട്ടുകയും അവര്‍ക്ക് ഭയമുണ്ടാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. വമ്പിച്ച ഒരു ജാലവിദ്യയാണ് അവര്‍ കൊണ്ടു വന്നത്‌.

    ۞وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَلۡقِ عَصَاكَۖ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا يَأۡفِكُونَ

    മൂസായ്ക്ക് നാം ബോധനം നല്‍കി; നീ നിന്‍റെ വടി ഇട്ടേക്കുക എന്ന്‌. അപ്പോള്‍ അത് അവര്‍ കൃത്രിമമായി ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതിനെ അതാ വിഴുങ്ങുന്നു.

    فَوَقَعَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

    അങ്ങനെ സത്യം സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുകയും, അവര്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചിരുന്നതെല്ലാം നിഷ്ഫലമാകുകയും ചെയ്തു.

    فَغُلِبُواْ هُنَالِكَ وَٱنقَلَبُواْ صَٰغِرِينَ

    അങ്ങനെ അവിടെ വെച്ച് അവര്‍ പരാജയപ്പെടുകയും, അവര്‍ നിസ്സാരന്‍മാരായി മാറുകയും ചെയ്തു.

    وَأُلۡقِيَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ

    അവര്‍ (ആ ജാലവിദ്യക്കാര്‍) സാഷ്ടാംഗം ചെയ്യുന്നവരായി വീഴുകയും ചെയ്തു.
