    بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

     

    قَالُوٓاْ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَأَرۡسِلۡ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ

    Disseram: "Pretere-o e a seu irmão, e envia congregantes às cidades.

    يَأۡتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَٰحِرٍ عَلِيمٖ

    "Far-te-ão vir todo mágico sapiente"

    وَجَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجۡرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ

    E os mágicos chegaram a Faraó. Disseram: "Por certo, teremos um prêmio, se formos nós os vencedores?"

    قَالَ نَعَمۡ وَإِنَّكُمۡ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ

    Faraó disse: "Sim, e, por certo, estareis entre os achegados"

    قَالُواْ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِمَّآ أَن تُلۡقِيَ وَإِمَّآ أَن نَّكُونَ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُلۡقِينَ

    Disseram: "Ó Moisés, lançarás tua vara ou seremos nós os lançadores?"

    قَالَ أَلۡقُواْۖ فَلَمَّآ أَلۡقَوۡاْ سَحَرُوٓاْ أَعۡيُنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱسۡتَرۡهَبُوهُمۡ وَجَآءُو بِسِحۡرٍ عَظِيمٖ

    Moisés disse: "Lançai". Então, quando lançaram enfeitiçaram os olhos dos homens e assombraram-nos. E chegaram com magnífica magia.

    ۞وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَلۡقِ عَصَاكَۖ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا يَأۡفِكُونَ

    E Nós inspiramos a Moisés: "Lança tua vara." Então, ei-la que engoliu o que falsificaram.

    فَوَقَعَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ

    Então, a verdade confirmou-se e o que faziam derrogou-se.

    فَغُلِبُواْ هُنَالِكَ وَٱنقَلَبُواْ صَٰغِرِينَ

    E foram, aí, vencidos e tornaram-se humilhados.

    وَأُلۡقِيَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ

    E os mágicos caíram, prosternando-se.
