The summary/theme of the surah Al-Anbiya:

 The Holy Prophet and the chiefs of Makkah were involved in the conflict at the time of its revelation, and this Surah deals with objections and doubts concerning his Prophethood, the Doctrines of Tauhid, and the Hereafter.

Lesson learned from surah Al-Anbiya:

 

  1. The Day of Reckoning is drawing closer while we are still wandering in neglect.  
  2. Ask the people who know if you yourself don’t know.  
  3. Allah's cannot be questioned about what He does, whereas we will be questioned over our actions.  
  4. Every soul shall taste death.  
  5. The human is intrinsically hasty and impatient.
  6. Allah's created every living thing from water.  
  7. There will be thorough weighing of deeds on the Day of Judgement. 
  8. AyyÅ«b عليه السلام was afflicted with a serious illness, but instead of asking Allah's to remove it, he merely mentioned it and said, ‘You are the most merciful from those who show mercy.’ He couldn’t bring himself to ask Allah's to remove it: such was his disposition.  
  9. Allah's sent Muḥammad ï·º as a mercy for the worlds.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

وَلِسُلَيۡمَٰنَ ٱلرِّيحَ عَاصِفَةٗ تَجۡرِي بِأَمۡرِهِۦٓ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلَّتِي بَٰرَكۡنَا فِيهَاۚ وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَٰلِمِينَ

Transliteration:( Wa li Sulaimaanar reeha 'aasifatan tajree bi amriheee ilal ardil latee baaraknaa feehaa; wa kunnaa bikulli shai'in 'aalimeen )
81. And to Sulaiman We made subservient the violent wind that it blew at his biding [120], to the land in which We had placed Our blessings [121], And We are in known of every thing.

وَمِنَ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ مَن يَغُوصُونَ لَهُۥ وَيَعۡمَلُونَ عَمَلٗا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَۖ وَكُنَّا لَهُمۡ حَٰفِظِينَ

Transliteration:( Wa minash Shayaateeni mai yaghoosoona lahoo wa ya'maloona 'amalan doona zaalika wa kunna lahum haafizeen )
82. And among the devils, those who dived for him [122] and did other work beside that [123], and We had a check over them (124)

۞وَأَيُّوبَ إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ ٱلضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرۡحَمُ ٱلرَّـٰحِمِينَ

Transliteration:( Wa Ayyooba iz naadaa Rabbahooo annee massaniyad durru wa Anta arhamur raahimeen )
83. And remember Ayyub [125], when he called his Lord that distress has touched me and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful [126].

فَٱسۡتَجَبۡنَا لَهُۥ فَكَشَفۡنَا مَا بِهِۦ مِن ضُرّٖۖ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ أَهۡلَهُۥ وَمِثۡلَهُم مَّعَهُمۡ رَحۡمَةٗ مِّنۡ عِندِنَا وَذِكۡرَىٰ لِلۡعَٰبِدِينَ

Transliteration:( Fastajabnaa lahoo fakashaf naa maa bihee min durrinw wa aatainaahu ahlahoo wa mislahum ma'ahum rahmatan min 'indinaa wa zikraa lil'aabideen )
84. Then We responded to him and We removed the distress which he had and we gave him his family and along with them the like thereof as a mercy [127], from Us. And as admonition to the devotees.

وَإِسۡمَٰعِيلَ وَإِدۡرِيسَ وَذَا ٱلۡكِفۡلِۖ كُلّٞ مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

Transliteration:( Wa Ismaa'eela wa Idreesa wa Zal Kifli kullum minas saabireen )
85. And remember Ismail and Idrees [128], and Zul-Kifl. They were all men of patience [129].

وَأَدۡخَلۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي رَحۡمَتِنَآۖ إِنَّهُم مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

Transliteration:( Wa adkhalnaahum fee rahmatinaa innahum minas saaliheen )
86. And we got them to enter into Our Mercy. Indeed, they are of the righteous ones.

وَذَا ٱلنُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَٰضِبٗا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقۡدِرَ عَلَيۡهِ فَنَادَىٰ فِي ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ أَن لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Transliteration:( Wa Zan Nooni iz zahaba mughaadiban fa zannaa al lan naqdira 'alaihi fanaadaa fiz zulumaati al laaa ilaaha illaaa Anta Subhaanaka innee kuntu minaz zaalimeen )
87. And remember Zun-Noon [130], And when he departed in anger [131], he imagined that We would not cause him any distress (132), and then he cried out in the darkness (133), there is none worthy of worship but You, Glory is to you. Indeed, I did improper act (134).

فَٱسۡتَجَبۡنَا لَهُۥ وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلۡغَمِّۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُـۨجِي ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

Transliteration:( Fastajabnaa lahoo wa najjainaahu minal ghamm; wa kazaalika nunjil mu'mineen )
88. Then We responded to his call and delivered [135], him from the grief and We shall likewise deliver the Muslims [136].

وَزَكَرِيَّآ إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرۡنِي فَرۡدٗا وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثِينَ

Transliteration:( Wa Zakariyyaaa iz naadaa Rabbahoo Rabbi laa tazarnee fardanw wa Anta khairul waariseen )
89. And to Zakariyah when he called his Lord, O my Lord! Leave me not alone and you are the best inheritor [137].

فَٱسۡتَجَبۡنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥ يَحۡيَىٰ وَأَصۡلَحۡنَا لَهُۥ زَوۡجَهُۥٓۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِي ٱلۡخَيۡرَٰتِ وَيَدۡعُونَنَا رَغَبٗا وَرَهَبٗاۖ وَكَانُواْ لَنَا خَٰشِعِينَ

Transliteration:( Fastajabnaa lahoo wa wahabnaa lahoo Yahyaa Wa aslahnaa lahoo zawjah; innahum kaanoo yusaari'oona fil khairaati wa yad'oonanaa raghabanw wa rahabaa; wa kaanoo lanaa khaashi'een )
90. Then We responded to his call and We bestowed him Yahya and cured his wife [138], for him. Indeed, they used to hurry in good deeds and use to call us with hope and fear. And they humble themselves before Us [139].
