Summary/Theme of Surah Al-Furqan:

Surah Al-Furqan addresses several key themes including monotheism, the Day of Judgment, prophethood, and the struggle against idolatry. It also examines the excuses made by polytheists and provides responses to them.

Lessons Learned from Surah Al-Furqan:

  1. Prophet's Humility: Some people doubted the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) because he was seen as too 'normal' and not as regal as a king. This illustrates that true leadership and inheritors of prophethood should remain humble and connected to the people, rather than being detached like kings or rulers.

  2. Eternal Bliss in Jannah: In paradise, people will have whatever they wish for and will live there forever.

  3. Regret on the Day of Judgment: Transgressors will regret the friendships they kept in this world, as these friendships led them away from the remembrance of Allah.

  4. Prophet’s Complaint: On the Day of Judgment, the Prophet (peace be upon him) will express his concern to Allah about the neglect of the Quran by his Ummah.

  5. Prophets and Enemies: Every prophet faced opposition and had enemies.

  6. Role of the Prophet: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent as a giver of glad tidings and a warner.

  7. Signs of Allah’s Greatness: Allah’s greatness and benevolence are evident in the signs around us.

  8. Dealing with Ignorance: Ignoring ignorant people and maintaining one's dignity is advised.

  9. Regular Du'a: It is recommended to regularly recite the du'a: "رَبَّنَا صَرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۗ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا" (O Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Jahannam (Hell); indeed, its punishment is a persisting affliction.)

  10. Avoid Extravagance: Do not be extravagant in your spending.

Transliteration:( Wa kazaalika ja'alnaa likulli Nabiyyin 'aduwwan minal mujrimeen; wa kafaa bi Rabbika haadiyanw wa naseeraa )

Transliteration:( Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo law laa nuzzila 'alaihil Qur'aanu jumlatanw waahidah; kazaalika linusabbita bihee fu'aadaka wa rattalnaahu tarteelaa )
32. And the disbelievers said, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" [60]. Thus, We have revealed it gradually to strengthen your heart with it [61], and We have spaced it out distinctly [62].

Transliteration:( Wa laa ya'toonaka bi masalin illaa ji'naaka bilhaqqi wa ahsana tafseeraa )
33. They will not come to you with any example, but We will bring you the truth and a better explanation [63].

Transliteration:( Allazeena yuhsharoona 'alaa wujoohihim ilaa jahannama ulaaa'ika sharrun makaananw wa adallu sabeelaa (section 3) )
34. Those who are driven on their faces into Hell will have the worst place and be the most misguided from the path [64].

Transliteration:( Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba wa ja'alnaa ma'ahooo akhaahu Haaroona wazeeraa )
35. Indeed, We gave Moses the Book and appointed his brother Aaron as a minister [65].

Transliteration:( Faqulnaz habaaa ilal qawmil lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa fadammarnaahum tadmeeraa )
36. Then We said, "Both of you must go towards the people who have belied Our signs" [66]. So We destroyed them completely [67].

Transliteration:( Wa qawma Noohin lammaa kazzabur Rusula aghraqnaahum wa ja'alnaahum linnaasi Aayatanw wa a'tadnaa lizzaalimeena 'azaaban aleemaa )
37. And as for the people of Nuh, when they denied the messengers [68], We drowned them and made them a sign for the people [69]. And we have prepared a painful punishment for the wrongdoers (70).

Transliteration:( Wa kullan darabnaa lahul amsaala wa kullan tabbarnaa tatbeera )
