The summary/theme of the surah Al-Hadid 

The main teaching of this surah is: 

Belief in God and His Apostle, and spend on others from the wealth He has made you trustees of. Those of you who have achieved faith and who spend freely [for God's cause] shall be rewarded greatly. Donate from what Allah entrusted you with, and believe in Allah and His Messenger.

Lesson learned from surah Al-Hadid 

  1. Allah's is aware of all that enters the Earth, all that emerges from it; all that descends from the heavens and all that ascends towards it.  
  2. Those á¹¢aḥ'bah who accepted Islam before the liberation of Makkah enjoy a greater virtue over those who accepted Islam afterwards.  
  3. Spending in the way of Allah's is worthy of great reward.  
  4. Not paying heed to Allah's’s words causes the heart to harden over time

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

Transliteration:( Sabbaha lillaahi maa fissamaawaati wal ardi wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem )
1. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Allah. And He is the [1] Honourable, the Wise.

لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٌ

Transliteration:( Lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi yuhyee wa yumeetu wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer )
2.His is the kingdom [2] of the heavens and the earth. He gives life and causes death[3], and He has power over everything.

هُوَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُ وَٱلۡأٓخِرُ وَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ وَٱلۡبَاطِنُۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٌ

Transliteration:( Huwal Awwalu wal'Aakhiru waz Zaahiru wal Baatinu wa huwa bikulli shai'in Aleem )
3. He is the First, He is the Last [4], He is the Manifest, He is the Hidden [5]. And He knows everything [6].

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٖ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ يَعۡلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهَا وَمَا يَنزِلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا يَعۡرُجُ فِيهَاۖ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمۡ أَيۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِيرٞ

Transliteration:( Huwal lazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda fee sittati ayyaamin summas tawaa 'alal 'Arsh; ya'lamu maa yaliju filardi wa maa yakhruju minhaa wa maa yanzilu minas samaaa'i wa maa ya'ruju feeha wa Huwa ma'akum ayna maa kuntum; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona Baseer )
4. It is He Who created the heavens and the earth in six [7] days, then established Himself on the Throne, in a manner befitting [8] His Majesty. He knows what enters [9] the earth and what emerges [10] from it, and what descends from the heavens and what ascends [11] into it. And He is with [12] you wherever you may be. And Allah sees all that you do [13].

لَّهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ

Transliteration:( Lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ard; wa ilal laahi turja'ul umoor )
5. His is the Sovereignty [14] of the heavens and the earth. And to Allah is the return [15] of all the affairs.

يُولِجُ ٱلَّيۡلَ فِي ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِي ٱلَّيۡلِۚ وَهُوَ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

Transliteration:( Yoolijul laila fin nahaari wa yoolijun nahaara fil lail; wa Huwa 'Aleemum bizaatis sudoor )
6. He brings the night into the day and brings the day into the night [16]. And He knows the thoughts (in the deepest recesses) of the hearts [17].

ءَامِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَأَنفِقُواْ مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسۡتَخۡلَفِينَ فِيهِۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنكُمۡ وَأَنفَقُواْ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرٞ كَبِيرٞ

Transliteration:( Aaaminoo billaahi wa Rasoolihee wa anfiqoo mimmaa ja'alakum mustakh lafeena feehi fallazeena aamanoo minkum wa anfaqoo lahum ajrun kabeer )
7.Believe in Allah and the Messenger and spend [18] out of that to which He had made you heirs [19], and those of you who believe and spend, for them is a great reward (20).

وَمَا لَكُمۡ لَا تُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولُ يَدۡعُوكُمۡ لِتُؤۡمِنُواْ بِرَبِّكُمۡ وَقَدۡ أَخَذَ مِيثَٰقَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ

Transliteration:( Wa maa lakum laa tu'minoona billaahi war Rasoolu yad'ookum li tu'minoo bi Rabbikum wa qad akhaza meesaaqakum in kuntum mu'mineen )
8. And what reason have you that you do not believe in Allah, whereas the Messenger calls you to believe [21] in your Lord? Indeed, he has made promise [22] with you, if you are indeed faithful (23).

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي يُنَزِّلُ عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِۦٓ ءَايَٰتِۭ بَيِّنَٰتٖ لِّيُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُمۡ لَرَءُوفٞ رَّحِيمٞ

Transliteration:( Huwal lazee yunazzilu 'alaa 'abdiheee Aayaatim baiyinaatil liyukhrijakum minaz zulumaati ilan noor; wa innal laaha bikum la Ra'oofur Raheem )
9. It is He Who reveals [24] upon His devotees clear verses so that He may bring you forth from the utter darkness to the light [25]. And surely, Allah is Compassionate and Merciful to you(26).

وَمَا لَكُمۡ أَلَّا تُنفِقُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَٰثُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ لَا يَسۡتَوِي مِنكُم مَّنۡ أَنفَقَ مِن قَبۡلِ ٱلۡفَتۡحِ وَقَٰتَلَۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَعۡظَمُ دَرَجَةٗ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنفَقُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدُ وَقَٰتَلُواْۚ وَكُلّٗا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٞ

Transliteration:( Wa maa lakum allaa tunfiqoo fee sabeelil laahi wa lillaahi meeraasus samaawaati wal-ard; laa yastawee minkum man anfaqa min qablil fat-hi wa qaatal; ulaaa'ika a'zamu darajatam minal lazeena anfaqoo min ba'du wa qaataloo; wa kullanw wa'ad allaahul husnaa; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona Khabeer )
10.And what reason have you, that you do not spend in the way of Allah, whereas Allah's is the heritage [27] of the heavens and the earth altogether? Those of you who spent and fought [28] before the victory (of Makkah) are not equal to those who spent and fought afterwards. They are exalted in rank [29] more than those who spent and fought afterward [30]. And Allah has promised [31] to all the reward of Paradise. And Allah is Aware of your deeds.
