The summary/theme of the surah Al Imran

God warns the believers not to seek protection from the unbelievers except for safety from tyranny. Remember that God knows everything concealed or revealed, He has power over everything. Fear retribution but know that He is compassionate to those who are devoted to Him.

Lessons Learned from Surah Al-Imran

  1. Awarding respect and humiliation is only in the control of Allah's. Without His Will, neither will happen.
  2. There is nothing beyond the Power of Allah's, as is evident from the incident of Zakara«y' u when he was blessed with a son in old age.
  3. Never try plotting against Allah's.
  4. Don’t say anything ambiguously intending to deceive the listener; especially when it’s the Word of Allah's .
  5. Whoever holds fast to Allah's (by totally relying on Him) will be guided on the right path.
  6. Don’t forget the bounties of Allah's and your humble beginnings.
  7. Be wary of who you befriend.
  8. Mashwarah (seeking counsel) is important. Once mashwarah is done, rely on Allah's. Death is inevitable; everyone shall have to taste death.
  9. Imagine how the Ṣaḥ'bah رضي الله عنهم must have felt when they heard this 'yah from the tongue of the Messenger ﷺ:

Recitation   Benefits of  Surah Al-Imran

  1. There is no doubt that every verses every surah of Quran have different benefits, advantages and blessings because these are the words of ALLAH that’s why it contains many advantages.
  2. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SalAllahu alayhi wasalam) said to Muadh (RadiAllahu anhu), ‘Should I not teach you a supplication which, when used to implore Allah, Allah shall pay your debt, even it be as huge as Mount Uhud? He then mentioned them (i.e. Surah Al Imran verse 26 & 27)’ [Tabarani in Al Saghir 1/330]
  3. Abdullah ibn Masud (radiAllahu anhu) said, ‘What an excellent treasure this Surah is to the pauper (very poor person) when he recites it in prayer during the last part of the night’ [Darimi 3264/A]
  4. Abu Umamah (radiAllahu anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said ‘Read the two radiant ones al-Baqarah and Al ‘Imran for they will come on the Day of Resurrection like two clouds, or two shades, or two flocks of birds, pleading for their companions’ [Muslim]
  5. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SalAllahu alayhi wasalam),‘Allah’s most Magnificent name, which when used to implore Him, He responds, is found in three Surahs. Al Baqara, Al’ Imran and Taha’ [Hakim & Ibn Majah 3856]
  6. Our Beloved Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said that if a person faces hardship in earning his livelihood, he should write this Surah Ale Imran and wear it as a talisman/Naqsh and Allah (S.w.T.) will increase his sustenance greatly. Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) also said that if anyone recites both Surah al-Baqarah and Ali-’Imran, then these Surahs will come in the shape of clouds on the day of judgement to protect him from the scorching heat.
  7. Regular Recitation of Surah Al Imran, is a good Fertility treatment for women, who are not getting baby.
  8. If surah Ale Imran, written on paper with saffron, is hung around the neck of a woman whose pregnancy does not last, she would, by command of Allah, would give birth to a child.
  9. Recite 11 times Ayat No 8 & 9 of Surat Al Imran for migraines, Headache.
  10. Recite 11 times Ayat No 145 Surat Al Imran  for backache.
  11. Increase in sustenance if keep it with self or at home.
  12. If recited on Friday, Rahma of Allah and angels ask for forgiveness for reciter.
  13. The benefit of reciting Ayat No.26-27 is that it acts as a protection from Shaitan.
  14. If Taweez of Surat Al Imran, is kept with a person, distress and hardship would go away, ease and comfort come to stay.
  15. If Taweez of Surat Al Imran, is put on a tree which does not produce fruit and whose leaves fall down, by command of Allah, it would produce fruit.

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

 

فَمَنۡ حَآجَّكَ فِيهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ فَقُلۡ تَعَالَوۡاْ نَدۡعُ أَبۡنَآءَنَا وَأَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَنِسَآءَنَا وَنِسَآءَكُمۡ وَأَنفُسَنَا وَأَنفُسَكُمۡ ثُمَّ نَبۡتَهِلۡ فَنَجۡعَل لَّعۡنَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ

Transliteration:( Faman haaajjaka feehi mim ba'di maa jaaa'aka minal 'ilmi faqul ta'aalaw nad'u abnaaa'anaa wa abnaaa'akum wa nisaaa'anaa wa nisaaa'akum wa anfusanaa wa anfusakum summa nabtahil fanaj'al la'natal laahi 'alal kaazibeen )
61. So, whoever disputes with you in this matter (about Isa) after the knowledge has come to you, say: "Come, let us bring our sons and your sons, our women, and your women [131], and ourselves and yourselves [132], then let us earnestly supplicate [133], and invoke the curse [134] of Allah upon the liars."

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡقَصَصُ ٱلۡحَقُّۚ وَمَا مِنۡ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ

Transliteration:( Innaa haazaa lahuwal qasasul haqq; wa maa min ilaahin illal laah; wa innal laahaa la Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem )
62. Surely, this is the true narrative [135], and there is none worthy of worship except Allah [136]. And indeed, Allah alone is the Almighty, the Most Wise.

فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمُۢ بِٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ

Transliteration:( Fa in tawallaw fa innal laaha'aleemun bil mufsideen (section 6) )
63. But if they turn away [137], then indeed Allah has full knowledge of the corruptors.

قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ تَعَالَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ كَلِمَةٖ سَوَآءِۭ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ أَلَّا نَعۡبُدَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ وَلَا نُشۡرِكَ بِهِۦ شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعۡضُنَا بَعۡضًا أَرۡبَابٗا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّوۡاْ فَقُولُواْ ٱشۡهَدُواْ بِأَنَّا مُسۡلِمُونَ

Transliteration:( Qul yaa Ahlal Kitaabi ta'aalaw ilaa Kalimatin sawaaa'im bainanaa wa bainakum allaa na'buda illal laaha wa laa nushrika bihee shai'anw wa laa yattakhiza ba'dunaa ba'dan arbaabam min doonil laah; fa in tawallaw faqoolush hadoo bi annaa muslimoon )
64.(Beloved Prophet) say: "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is common between us and you [138], that we will worship none but Allah, and that we will not associate anything with Him [139], and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah." But if they turn away, then say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims [140] (submitting to Him)."

يَـٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تُحَآجُّونَ فِيٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَتِ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةُ وَٱلۡإِنجِيلُ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦٓۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ

Transliteration:( Yaaa Ahlal Kitaabi limaa tuhaaajjoona feee Ibraaheema wa maaa unzilatit Tawraatu wal Injeelu illaa mim ba'dih; afala ta'qiloon )
65. O People of the Scripture, why do you dispute about Ibrahim [141], while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Will you not use your intellect? [142].

هَـٰٓأَنتُمۡ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ حَٰجَجۡتُمۡ فِيمَا لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞ فَلِمَ تُحَآجُّونَ فِيمَا لَيۡسَ لَكُم بِهِۦ عِلۡمٞۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ

Transliteration:( Haaa antum haaa'ulaaa'i haajajtum feemaa lakum bihee 'ilmun falima tuhaaajjoonaa feemaa laisa lakum bihee 'ilm; wallaahu ya'lamu wa antum laa ta'lamoon )
66. Behold! You are those who have disputed [143] in matters of which you have knowledge, but why do you dispute about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows while you do not know.

مَا كَانَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمُ يَهُودِيّٗا وَلَا نَصۡرَانِيّٗا وَلَٰكِن كَانَ حَنِيفٗا مُّسۡلِمٗا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ

Transliteration:( Maa kaana Ibraaheemu Yahoodiyyanw wa laa Nasraa niyyanw wa laakin kaana Haneefam Muslimanw wa maa kaana minal mushrikeen )
67. Ebrahim was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was an upright Muslim [144], inclined towards truth, and he was not at all of the polytheists.

إِنَّ أَوۡلَى ٱلنَّاسِ بِإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَٰذَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِيُّ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

Transliteration:( Innaa awlan naasi bi Ibraaheema lallazeenat taba 'oohu wa haazan nabiyyu wallazeena aamanoo; wallaahu waliyyul mu'mineen )
68. Surely, the most worthy of people in relation to Ebrahim are those who followed him[145], including this Nabi (Muhammad) and those who believe. And Allah is the Guardian of the believers [146].

وَدَّت طَّآئِفَةٞ مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَوۡ يُضِلُّونَكُمۡ وَمَا يُضِلُّونَ إِلَّآ أَنفُسَهُمۡ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُونَ

Transliteration:( Waddat taaa'ifatum min Ahlil Kitaabi law yudil loonakum wa maa yudilloona illaaa anfusahum wa maa yash'uroon )
69. A group of the People of the Scripture desire to lead you astray [147], but they do not mislead except themselves, and they are unaware [148].

يَـٰٓأَهۡلَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِمَ تَكۡفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنتُمۡ تَشۡهَدُونَ

Transliteration:( Yaaa Ahlal Kitaabi lima takfuroona bi Aayaatil laahi wa antum tash hadoon )
70. O People of the Scripture! Why do you disbelieve the signs of Allah [149] while you yourselves are witnesses?
