    The summary/theme of the Surah Al-Isra

     The disbelievers of Makkah are admonished to take lessons from the miserable end of the Israelites and other communities and mend their ways from this Surah, which is a wonderful blend of warning, admonition, and instruction. In this Surah important event has been mentioned regarding the night journey of our Holy Prophet to the heavens and meeting with Allah

    Lesson learned from Surah Al-Isra

    1. On the Day of Judgement, everyone shall be handed their book of deeds, which will have every minute detail of their lives recorded. They themselves will be able to envisage their outcome that day. 
    2. Whoever strives solely behind the luxuries of this world, Allah's will give them whatever He wishes to, not what they themselves want, and then doom them to Jahannam.
    3. Whoever strives to acquire the luxuries of the Hereafter properly, Allah's will appreciate his/her efforts. 
    4. Each person will be responsible for his/her own burdens on the Day of Qiy'mah; not for those of others.  
    5. Be good to parents.

    بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

     

    يَوۡمَ نَدۡعُواْ كُلَّ أُنَاسِۭ بِإِمَٰمِهِمۡۖ فَمَنۡ أُوتِيَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ يَقۡرَءُونَ كِتَٰبَهُمۡ وَلَا يُظۡلَمُونَ فَتِيلٗا

    Transliteration:( Yawma nad'oo kulla unaasim bi imaamihim faman ootiya kitaabahoo bi yameenihee fa ulaaa'ika yaqra'oona kitaabahum wa laa yuzlamoona fateelaa )
    71. The Day when We shall call every people with their leaders [157]. Then whosoever is given his record in his right hand, they will read their records [158], and they shall not be wronged even as much as a thread.

    73. And indeed, it was near that they would have misled you from what We revealed to you [160], so that you might invent something else against Us [161], and then they would have certainly taken you as a close friend.
