The summary/ theme of the surah An-Naml:

The message of tawhid (monotheism) in Arabian and Israelite prophets is emphasized by the stories of Musa (Moses), Sulayman (Solomon), Saleh, and Lut (Lot) in sura 27. In contrast to the arrogance and disbelief of the Pharaoh, Moses' miracles are described in the Book of Exodus.

Lesson learned from surah An-Naml:

  1. Be thankful to Allah's just like Sulaym'n عليه السلام was.
  2. The mark of a person working for Allah's is that he/she cannot be tempted away from it through wealth.
  3. Read the du‘' of Sulaym'n
  4. 'O My Rabb! Enable me to become grateful to Your favour that you have bestowed on me and on my parents, and to do good deeds that You like, and admit me, with Your mercy, among Your righteous servants.’
  5. Start off letters/correspondence with
  6. Whoever is grateful to Allah's, will only benefit themselves; whoever is ungrateful, Allah's is independent of their gratitude.
  7. Allah's is the one who answers the du‘' of those who are helpless.
  8. Allah's knows what the hearts conceal and what they expose.
  9. Allah's has perfected everything.
