بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
سُورَةٌ أَنزَلۡنَٰهَا وَفَرَضۡنَٰهَا وَأَنزَلۡنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَٰتِۭ بَيِّنَٰتٖ لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ
Transliteration:( Sooratun anzalnaahaa wa faradnaahaa wa anzalnaa feehaaa Aayaatim baiyinaatil la'allakum tazakkaroon )
1. This is a chapter (surah) (2) that We have sent down, and We have made obligatory(3) its commandments, and We have sent down bright signs in it so that you may take heed. (4)
ٱلزَّانِيَةُ وَٱلزَّانِي فَٱجۡلِدُواْ كُلَّ وَٰحِدٖ مِّنۡهُمَا مِاْئَةَ جَلۡدَةٖۖ وَلَا تَأۡخُذۡكُم بِهِمَا رَأۡفَةٞ فِي دِينِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمۡ تُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡأٓخِرِۖ وَلۡيَشۡهَدۡ عَذَابَهُمَا طَآئِفَةٞ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Transliteration:( Azzaaniyatu wazzaanee fajlidoo kulla waahidim minhumaa mi'ata jaldatinw wa laa taakhuzkum bihimaa raafatun fee deenil laahi in kuntum tu'minoona billaahi wal Yawmil Aakhiri wal yashhad 'azaabahumaa taaa'ifatum minal mu'mineen )
2. The adulteress and adulterer, then flog each [5] of them with hundred [6] stripes, and you should not be compassionate for them in the religion of Allah if you believe in Allah and the Last Day( 7), And let a party of Muslims be present at the time of their punishment (8).
ٱلزَّانِي لَا يَنكِحُ إِلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوۡ مُشۡرِكَةٗ وَٱلزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنكِحُهَآ إِلَّا زَانٍ أَوۡ مُشۡرِكٞۚ وَحُرِّمَ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Transliteration:( Azzaanee laa yankihu illaa zaaniyatan aw mushrikatanw wazzaaniyatu laa yankihuhaaa illaa zaanin aw mushrik; wa hurrima zaalika 'alal mu'mineen )
3. The adulterer should not marry but an adulteress or an associate [9] and marry not an adulteress but an adulterer or associator, and this deed is forbidden to the believers. [10]
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرۡمُونَ ٱلۡمُحۡصَنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَأۡتُواْ بِأَرۡبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ فَٱجۡلِدُوهُمۡ ثَمَٰنِينَ جَلۡدَةٗ وَلَا تَقۡبَلُواْ لَهُمۡ شَهَٰدَةً أَبَدٗاۚ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡفَٰسِقُونَ
Transliteration:( Wallazeena yarmoonal muhsanaati summa lam yaatoo bi-arba'ati shuhadaaa'a fajlidoohum samaaneena jaldatanw wa laa taqbaloo lahum shahaadatan abadaa; wa ulaaa'ika humul faasiqoon )
4. And those who blame chaste women, then do not bring four witnesses, flog them with eighty [11] stripes and never accept any evidence of theirs, and it is they that are disobedient. [12]
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَأَصۡلَحُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ
Transliteration:( Illal lazeena taaboo mim ba'di zaalika wa aslahoo fa innal laaha Ghafoorur Raheem )
5. But those who repent thereafter [and] act aright, indeed, then Allah is forgiving, Merciful. [13]
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرۡمُونَ أَزۡوَٰجَهُمۡ وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُمۡ شُهَدَآءُ إِلَّآ أَنفُسُهُمۡ فَشَهَٰدَةُ أَحَدِهِمۡ أَرۡبَعُ شَهَٰدَٰتِۭ بِٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
Transliteration:( Wallazeena yarmoona azwaajahum wa lam yakul lahum shuhadaaa'u illaaa anfusuhum fashahaadatu ahadihim arba'u shahaadaatim billaahi innahoo laminas saadiqeen )
6. And those who malign [14] their own wives and they have no evidence except themselves, then the evidence of any such of them is that he should bear witness [15] four times in the name of Allah that he is truthful.
وَٱلۡخَٰمِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعۡنَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡهِ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
Transliteration:( Wal khaamisatu anna la'natal laahi 'alaihi in kaana minal kaazibeen )
7. And fifthly this that the curse of Allah be upon him if he is a liar.
وَيَدۡرَؤُاْ عَنۡهَا ٱلۡعَذَابَ أَن تَشۡهَدَ أَرۡبَعَ شَهَٰدَٰتِۭ بِٱللَّهِ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
Transliteration:( Wa yadra'u anhal 'azaaba an tashhada arba'a shahaa daatim billaahi innahoo laminal kaazibeen )
8. And the punishment [16] shall avert from the wife if she bears witness four times in the name of Allah that the man is a liar. [17]
وَٱلۡخَٰمِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡهَآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
Transliteration:( Wal khaamisata anna ghadabal laahi 'alaihaaa in kaana minas saadiqeen )
9. And fifthly this that the curse [18] of Allah be upon the woman if the man is truthful. [19]
وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيمٌ
Transliteration:( Wa law laa fadlul laahi 'alaikum wa rahmatuhoo wa annal laaha Tawwaabun Hakeem (section 1) )
10. And if the grace of Allah and His mercy [20] had not been upon you, ..and that Allah is Relenting Wise. (He would have opened your secret).
