121. And whatever they spend, small or great [345], and the valley they cross [346], all is written for them, so that Allah may reward them for their best deeds.

Transliteration:( Wa maa kaanal mu'minoona liyanfiroo kaaaffah; falaw laa nafara min kulli firqatim minhum taaa'ifatul liyatafaqqahoo fiddeeni wa liyunziroo qawmahum izaa raja'ooo ilaihim la'allahum yahzaroon )
122. And it is not possible for believers that all should come out [347]. Then why should not a party from each group [348] come out, and some should remain behind so that they may gain understanding [349] of the religion and warn [350] their people after returning to them, that they may be cautious to guard themselves.

Transliteration:( Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo qaatilul lazeena yaloonakum minal kuffaari walyajidoo feekum ghilzah; wa'lamooo annal laaha ma'al muttaqeen )
123. O believers! Fight the infidels who are close [351] to you, and let them find in you harshness [352]. And know that Allah is with the pious [353].

Transliteration:( Wa izaa maaa unzilat Sooratun faminhum mai yaqoolu aiyukum zaadat hu haazihee eemaanaa; fa ammal lazeena aamanoo fazaadat hum eemaananw wa hum yastabshiroon )
124. Whenever a Surah is revealed, then some of them say: "Which of you has it increased [354] in faith?" As for those who believe, it has increased [355] them in faith, and they are rejoicing [356].

Transliteration:( Wa ammal lazeena fee quloobihim maradun fazaadat hum rijsan ilaa rijsihim wa maatoo wa hum kaafiroon )
125. And as for those in whose hearts there is a disease [357], it has increased [358] them in filth upon filthiness, and they die while they are infidels [359].

Transliteration:( 'A wa laa yarawna annahum yuftanoona fee kulli 'aamin marratan 'aw marrataini thumma laa yatooboona wa laa hum yazzakkaroon )
126. Do they not observe that they are being tried [360] every year, once or twice? Even then, they neither repent nor accept admonition.

Transliteration:( Wa izaa maaa unzilat Sooratun nazara ba'duhum ilaa ba'din hal yaraakum min ahadin thumman sarafoo; sarafal laahu quloobahum bi annahum qawmul laa yafqahoon )
127. And whenever any Surah is revealed to them, they begin to look [361] at each other, asking, "Does anyone watch you?" Then they turn away. Allah has left their hearts because they are a people who do not understand [362].

Transliteration:( Laqad jaaa'akum Rasoolum min anfusikum 'azeezun 'alaihi maa 'anittum hareesun 'alaikum bilmu'mineena ra'oofur raheem )
128. Certainly, there has come to you a Messenger [363] from among yourselves. It is grievous [364] to him what you suffer; he is very eager for your guidance [365], and is kind and merciful to the believers.

Transliteration:( Fa in tawallaw faqul hasbiyal laahu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa 'alaihi tawakkkaltu wa Huwa Rabbul 'Arshil 'Azeem )
129. Then if they turn their faces, please declare: "Allah is sufficient [366], for me. None is to be worshipped except Him. I put my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Supreme Throne [367].

Known as "The Immunity," Surah At-Tawbah is the 9th chapter of the Glorious Quran. It contains 129 ayat (verses) and was revealed in Medina after the Prophet (ﷺ) migrated there. This surah consists of two juz (parts). Verses 1 through 92 are in the 10th juz, and verses 93 to 129 are in the 11th juz.

This surah continues from the previous one, as it begins by calling an end to the numerous peace treaties broken by the pagans. The believers are encouraged to join the Prophet (ﷺ) in marching to Tabuk for battle during the summer of 9 A.H. / 631 C.E., and hypocrites—who make spurious excuses—are uncovered and refuted. Muslims are reminded of Allah's protection at the Battle of Uhud, when their defeat turned into a successful victory, as well as how He shielded His Messenger (ﷺ) during his journey to Medina. Throughout this surah, Allah's tolerance for repentance is continually emphasized, hence its title.
