11. And if they repent and establish [23] prayer and pay Zakaat, then they are brothers in faith [24]. And We explain the verses in detail for the people who know [25].

Transliteration:( Wa in nakasooo aimaanahum mim ba'di 'ahdihim wa ta'anoo fee deenikum faqaatilooo a'immatal kufri innahum laaa aimaana lahum la'allahum yantahoon )
12. If they break their oaths after their agreement and openly taunt at your religion [26], then fight with the leaders of infidelity. Indeed, their oaths are nothing [27]. Thus, they may desist.

Transliteration:( Alaa tuqaatiloona qawman nakasooo aimaanahum wa hammoo bi ikhraajir Rasooli wa hum bada'ookum awwala marrah; atakhshawnahum; fallaahu ahaqqu an takhshawhu in kuntum mu'mineen )
13. Will you not fight with a people who have broken their oaths and resolved [28] to expel the Messenger, although they made the commencement of hostility against you? Do you fear [29] them? But Allah is most worthy of being feared if you believe in Him [30].

15. And He will remove the anger of their hearts. And Allah accepts the repentance of whomsoever He pleases. And Allah is All-Knowing, Wise [33].

16. Do you think that you would be left alone? And Allah has not yet made known [34] those of you who will fight in His way and will not take anyone as a confidant except Allah and His Messenger and the believers. Allah is aware of what you do [35].

Transliteration:( maa kaana lilmushrikeena ai ya'muroo masaajidal laahi shaahideena 'alaaa anfusihim bilkufr; ulaaa'ika habitat a'maaluhum wa fin naari hum khaalidoon )
17. The polytheists have no right to visit [36] the Mosque of Allah, bearing witness [37] to their infidelity against themselves. Their entire deeds are destroyed [38], and they shall remain in the Fire of Hell forever.

Transliteration:( Innamaa ya'muru masaa jidal laahi man aamana billaahi wal Yawmil Aakhiri wa aqaamas Salaata wa aataz Zakaata wa lam yakhshaa illal laaha fa'asaaa ulaaa'ika ai yakoonoo minal muhtadeen )
18. Only they shall inhabit [39] the mosques of Allah, who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and who establish prayer and pay the poor-due and fear none but Allah. So these are the people who are among the guided ones [40].

Transliteration:( Aja'altum siqaayatal haaajji wa 'imaaratal masjidil haraami kamman aamana billaahi wal Yawmil Aakhiri wa jaahada fee sabeelil laah; laa yastawoona 'indal laah; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmaz zaalimeen )
19. Then do you consider the offering of water to the pilgrims and service of the Sacred Mosque equal [41] to one who believes [42] in Allah and the Last Day and fights in the path of Allah? They are not equal in the sight of Allah. And Allah does not guide the unjust people [43].

Transliteration:( Allazeena aamanoo wa haajaroo wa jaahadoo fee sabeelil laahi bi amwaalihim wa anfusihim a'zamu darajatan 'indal laah; wa ulaaa'ika humul faaa'izoon )
20. Those who believe and migrate and fight [44] with their wealth and lives in the path of Allah [45] have the highest rank with Allah. And they are the ones who reach their goal.

Known as "The Immunity," Surah At-Tawbah is the 9th chapter of the Glorious Quran. It contains 129 ayat (verses) and was revealed in Medina after the Prophet (ﷺ) migrated there. This surah consists of two juz (parts). Verses 1 through 92 are in the 10th juz, and verses 93 to 129 are in the 11th juz.

This surah continues from the previous one, as it begins by calling an end to the numerous peace treaties broken by the pagans. The believers are encouraged to join the Prophet (ﷺ) in marching to Tabuk for battle during the summer of 9 A.H. / 631 C.E., and hypocrites—who make spurious excuses—are uncovered and refuted. Muslims are reminded of Allah's protection at the Battle of Uhud, when their defeat turned into a successful victory, as well as how He shielded His Messenger (ﷺ) during his journey to Medina. Throughout this surah, Allah's tolerance for repentance is continually emphasized, hence its title.
