بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
قَالَتۡ لَهُمۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ إِن نَّحۡنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهِۦۖ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نَّأۡتِيَكُم بِسُلۡطَٰنٍ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
Transliteration:( Qaalat lahum Rusuluhum in nahnu illaa basharum mislukum wa laakinnal laaha yamunnu 'alaa mai yashaaa'u min 'ibaadihee wa maa kaana lanaaa an na'tiyakum bisul taanin illaa bi iznil laah; wa 'alal laahi falyatawakkalil mu'minoon )
11. Their messengers said to them, “We are indeed human beings like yourselves [30], but Allah bestows His favor [31] upon whomsoever He wills of His servants. And it is not for us to bring you any authority except by the command of Allah. And upon Allah [32] alone should the believers rely [33].”
وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدۡ هَدَىٰنَا سُبُلَنَاۚ وَلَنَصۡبِرَنَّ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاذَيۡتُمُونَاۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُتَوَكِّلُونَ
Transliteration:( Wa maa lanaa allaa natawakkala 'alal laahi wa qad hadaanaa subulanaa; wa lanasbiranna 'alaa maaa aazaitumoonaa; wa 'alal laahi falyatawakkalil mutawakkiloon )
12. And what reason do we have not to rely upon Allah, while He has guided us in our ways? And we will surely be patient with the harm you cause us. And let the trusting rely solely on Allah [34].
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِرُسُلِهِمۡ لَنُخۡرِجَنَّكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِنَآ أَوۡ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِي مِلَّتِنَاۖ فَأَوۡحَىٰٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ لَنُهۡلِكَنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
Transliteration:( Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo li Rusulihim lanukhrijanna kum min aardinaaa aw la ta'oodunna fee millatinaa fa awhaaa ilaihim Rabbuhum lanuhlikannaz zaalimeen )
13. And those who disbelieved said to their messengers, “We will certainly drive you out of our land, or you will return [35] to our religion.” Then their Lord revealed to them, “We will surely destroy the wrongdoers.”
وَلَنُسۡكِنَنَّكُمُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامِي وَخَافَ وَعِيدِ
Transliteration:( Wa lanuskinan nakumul arda min ba'dihim; zaalika liman khaafa maqaamee wa khaafa wa'eed )
14. And We will surely make you dwell in the land [36] after them. This is for those who fear standing before Me [37] and fear My warning.
وَٱسۡتَفۡتَحُواْ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٖ
Transliteration:( Wastaftahoo wa khaaba kullu jabbaarin 'aneed )
15. And they sought victory [38], and every arrogant tyrant was disappointed.
مِّن وَرَآئِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ وَيُسۡقَىٰ مِن مَّآءٖ صَدِيدٖ
Transliteration:( Minw waraaa'ihee jahannamu wa yusqaa min maaa'in sadeed )
16. Hell will follow him [39], and he will be made to drink from a water of oozing pus [40].
يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ وَيَأۡتِيهِ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٖ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٖۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِۦ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٞ
Transliteration:( Yatajarra'uhoo wa laa yakaadu yuseeghuhoo wa ya'teehil mawtu min kulli makaaninw wa maa huwa bimaiyitinw wa minw waraaa'ihee 'azaabun ghaleez )
17. He will sip it gradually with great difficulty, and he will scarcely be able to swallow it. Death will come to him from every direction, yet he will not die [41]. And behind him is a severe punishment.
مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمۡۖ أَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡ كَرَمَادٍ ٱشۡتَدَّتۡ بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِي يَوۡمٍ عَاصِفٖۖ لَّا يَقۡدِرُونَ مِمَّا كَسَبُواْ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٖۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَٰلُ ٱلۡبَعِيدُ
Transliteration:( Masalul lazeena kafaroo bi Rabbihim; a'maaluhum karamaadinish taddat bihir reehu fee yawmin 'aasifin; laa yaqdiroona mimmaa kasaboo 'alaa shai'; zaalika huwad dalaalul ba'eed )
18. The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is that their deeds are like ashes [42] on which a strong wind blows on a stormy day. They gain nothing [43] from their earnings. That is the far-reaching misguidance [44].
أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ إِن يَشَأۡ يُذۡهِبۡكُمۡ وَيَأۡتِ بِخَلۡقٖ جَدِيدٖ
Transliteration:( Alam tara annal laaha khalaqas samaawaati wal arda bilhaqq; iny yasha yuzhibkum wa ya'ti bikhalqin jadeed )
19. Did you not see that Allah created the heavens and the earth with the truth [45]? If He wills, He can remove you and bring forth a new creation.
وَمَا ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ بِعَزِيزٖ
Transliteration:( Wa maa zaalika 'alal laahi bi 'azeez )
20. And that is not difficult for Allah [46].
