Transliteration:( Wa law yu'ajjilul laahu linnaasish sharra sti' jaalahum bil khairi laqudiya ilaihim 'ajaluhum fa nazarul lazeena laa yarjoona liqaaa'anaa fee tughyaanihim ya'mahoon )
11. And if Allah had hastened for people the punishment as they hasten for the good [33], their term would have been decreed for them [34]. So We leave those who do not expect to meet Us [35] in their transgression, wandering blindly.

Transliteration:( Wa izaa massal insaanad durru da'aanaa li jambiheee aw qaa'idan aw qaaa'iman falammaa kashafnaa 'anhu durrahoo marra ka an lam yad'unaaa ilaa durrin massah; kazaalika zuyyina lilmusrifeena maa kaanoo ya'maloon )
12. And when affliction touches [36] a person, he calls Us, lying down, sitting, or standing [37]. But when We remove [38] his affliction, he passes by as though he had never called Us to a trouble that touched him. Thus, their deeds are made fair-seeming to those who exceed the limits [39].

Transliteration:( Wa laqad ahlaknal quroona min qablikum lammaa zalamoo wa jaaa'at hum Rusuluhum bil baiyinaati wa maa kaanoo liyu'minoo; kazaalika najzil qawmal mujrimeen )
13. Indeed, We destroyed the generations before you when they [40] wronged, and their messengers came to them with clear signs [41]. But they would not believe. Thus, We recompense the people who are criminals.

Transliteration:( Thumma ja'alnaakum khalaaa'ifa fil ardi min ba'dihim li nanzura kaifa ta'maloon )
14. Then We made you to succeed [42] after them that We might see how you act [43].

Transliteration:( Wa izaa tutlaa 'alaihim aayaatunaa baiyinaatin qaalal lazeena laa yarjoona liqaaa'a na'ti bi Qur'aanin ghairi haazaaa aw baddilh; qul maa yakoonu leee 'an 'ubaddilahoo min tilqaaa'i nafsee in attabi'u illaa maa yoohaaa ilaiya inneee akhaafu in 'asaytu Rabbee 'azaaba Yawmin 'Azeem )
15. And when Our clear signs [44] are recited to them, those who do not expect to meet Us say, "Bring a Quran [45] other than this or change it." Say, "It is not for me to change it on my own [46]. I only follow what is revealed to me [47]. I fear the punishment of a Great Day [48] if I were to disobey my Lord."

Transliteration:( Qul law shaaa'al laahu maa talawtuhoo 'alaikum wa laaa adraakum bihee faqad labistu feekum 'umuran min qablih; afalaa ta'qiloon )
16. Say, "If Allah had willed, I would not have recited it to you, nor would He have made it known to you [49]. I have lived among you for a lifetime before it. Do you not understand [50]?"

Transliteration:( Faman azlamu mimmanif taraa 'alal laahi kaziban aw kazzaba bi Aayaatih; innahoo laa yuflihul mujrimoon )
17. Then who is more unjust [51] than one who invents a lie against Allah or denies His signs? Indeed, the criminals will not succeed [52].

Transliteration:( Wa ya'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yadurruhum wa laa yanfa'uhum wa yaqooloona haaa'ulaaa'i shufa'aaa 'unaa 'indal laah; qul 'a tunabbi 'oonal laaha bi maa laa ya'lamu fis samaawaati wa laa fil ard; subhaanahoo wa Ta'aalaa 'ammaa yushrikoon )
18. And they worship besides Allah that which can neither harm them nor do any good [53]. And they say: "These are our intercessors [54] with Allah." Say: "Do you inform Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth [55]? Exalted is He and high above what they associate[with Him] [56]."

Transliteration:( Wa maa kaanan naasu illaaa ummatanw waahidatan fa khtalafoo; wa law laa kalimatun sabaqat mir Rabbika laqudiya bainahum fee maa feehi yakhtalifoon )
19. And mankind is but one [57] community, but they differ. And if a word from your Lord had not preceded [58], their differences would have been judged between them[regarding what they differ].

20. And they say: "Why [59] has not a sign been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "The unseen belongs to Allah. So wait. I am with you among those who wait."

It has 109 ayaat (verses) and was revealed in Makkah before Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) migrated to Medina. This surah is found in juz/paara 11.

This Surah was revealed during the last stage of the Prophet's residence at Makkah, and dealt with Allah being the only Creator of this universe. The mushrikin were warned against worshiping deities other than Allah, as these have no power to either benefit or harm anyone, nor are they even aware that they are being worshiped. Guidance was provided as to how each nation was sent a Rasool for guidance; Al-Qur'an having a cure for all the problems of mankind; Mushrikin following nothing but conjectures; detailed discussions on the stories of Nuh and Musa and Fir'on; and warnings against forcing anyone to convert to Islam.

This chapter calls upon those who were hesitant to accept the Prophet's message, as they found it strange that a human being was imparting the divine words of Allah. But this is neither strange nor related to sorcery. He simply informed them of two essential facts: firstly, that Allah, the Creator of all things, is your Lord and only He merits worship, and secondly, that in the hereafter you will be held to account for how you lived in this world. Whether you agree with these truths or not, they are realities and if accepted can bring salvation; otherwise, you will suffer due to your misdeeds.
