    وَإِذۡ قُلۡنَا لِلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسۡجُدُواْ لِأٓدَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓاْ إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰ وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ

    34. And (recall) when We ordered the angels to prostrate before Adam [66]. All of them prostrated, except Iblis. He refused and was arrogant and became one of the infidels [67].

    وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

    43. And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all [50].

    إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيۡسَ لَكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِينَ

    42. Indeed, you have no authority [48] over My servants, except for those who follow you from the misguided [49].

    قَالَ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسۡتَقِيمٌ

    41. Allah said, "This is a path that is straight and leading to Me [47]."

    إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ

    40. Except for Your sincere and chosen servants [46].

    قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِيَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ

    39. He said, "My Lord, because You have led me astray, I will surely make disobedience attractive to them on the earth, and I will surely mislead all of them [45]."

    إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ

    38. Until the known Day.

    قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِينَ

    37. Allah said, "Indeed, you are among those who are granted respite [44]."

    قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِيٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ

    36. He said, 'O my Lord, give me time till the Day of Resurrection' [43].

    وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكَ ٱللَّعۡنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ

    35. And indeed, upon you is the curse until the Day of Judgment [42].

    قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٞ

    34. Allah said, "Get out from here, for indeed you are accursed [41]."

    قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ

    33. He said, "It is not for me to prostrate to a human being whom You have created from sounding clay, from black mud molded [40]."

    قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ

    32. Allah said, "O Iblis, what prevented you from being among those who prostrate [39]?"

    إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ

    31. Except for Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrators.

    فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ

    30. Then all the angels fell down in prostration together [38].

    فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ

    29. Then when I have perfected him and breathed into him of My [36] spirit, then fall down in prostration to him [37].

    وَإِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَٰلِقُۢ بَشَرٗا مِّن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ

    28. And remember when your Lord said to the angels, "I am creating a human being from sounding clay, from black mud molded [35]."
