    52. Then it will be said to the wrongdoers: "Taste [148] the everlasting punishment. You will be recompensed only for what you used to earn [149]".

    وَلَئِنۡ أَخَّرۡنَا عَنۡهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٖ مَّعۡدُودَةٖ لَّيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحۡبِسُهُۥٓۗ أَلَا يَوۡمَ يَأۡتِيهِمۡ لَيۡسَ مَصۡرُوفًا عَنۡهُمۡ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ

    8. And if We were to delay the punishment from them for a specified time [20], they would surely say, "What is keeping it back?" Know that on the day it comes to them, it will not be turned away from them, and they will be surrounded by the very punishment they used to mock [21].
