46. He said, "O Nuh, indeed he is not of your family [97]; indeed, his conduct is unrighteous [98]. So do not ask Me about that of which you have no knowledge [99]. I admonish you, lest you be among the ignorant" [100].

47. He submitted, "O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy on me, I will be among the losers" [101].

48. It was said, "O Nuh, disembark with peace from Us and with blessings upon you and upon some of those with you [102]. But there will be other parties whom We will grant enjoyment [103] for a time, and then a painful torment will reach them" [104].
