    كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ

    160. The people of Lot denied the messengers. [160]

    إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

    161.When their brother Lot [160] said to them, "Will you not fear [Allah]?" [161]

    إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ

    162. Indeed, I am a trusted messenger of Allah for you. [162]

    فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

    164. I ask you no reward for it [163]; my reward is only from Him Who is the Lord of the worlds. [164]

    أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلذُّكۡرَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ

    165. Do you approach males from among the worlds? [165]

    وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمۡ رَبُّكُم مِّنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ عَادُونَ

    166. And leave the wives [165] whom your Lord has created for you? Nay, but you are a people exceeding the limits. [166]

    قَالُواْ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡرَجِينَ

    167. They said, "O Lot, if you do not desist, you will surely be among those expelled." [167]

    قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَالِينَ

    168. He said, "I am certainly disgusted by your deeds." [168]

    رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهۡلِي مِمَّا يَعۡمَلُونَ

    169. O my Lord, save me and my family from what they do. [169]

    فَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ

    170. Therefore, We saved him and his family, all of them. [170]

    إِلَّا عَجُوزٗا فِي ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ

    171. Except for an old woman who stayed behind. [171]

    ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ

    172. Then We destroyed the others. [172]

    وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم مَّطَرٗاۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ

    173. And We rained upon them a rain [171]; what an evil rain it was for those who were warned. [172]

    إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
