14. Please declare (O Beloved Prophet): "Shall I take for a protector anyone other than Allah [27], the Originator of the heavens and the earth, Who feeds but is not fed? [28] Please declare (O Beloved Prophet): "I have been commanded to submit [29], and never to be a polytheist [30]."

12. Please declare: "To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and in the earth?" [23] Please declare: "It belongs to Allah. He has made it obligatory for Himself [24] to confer His Mercy with generosity. He will surely gather you on the Day of Resurrection. There is no doubt in it." Those who have put their souls in loss would not believe [25].

6. Have they not observed [11] how many generations We have destroyed before them? We had established them on the earth with that which We did not establish for you [12], and We sent the sky upon them with abundant rain and made rivers flow beneath them [13]. 106. O you who believe! [283] Witness between yourselves when death approaches any of you at the time of making a will. Let there be two just men from among you or two others from outside if you are traveling in the land and the calamity of death befalls you. Detain them both after the prayer (286) so they may swear by Allah if there is any doubt (287), that they will not exchange it for a price, even if it be a near relative, and will not conceal the testimony of Allah. If they do so, they are surely among the wrongdoers.

97. Allah has made the Ka'bah, the Sacred House, an establishment for the people [267], as well as the sacred month, the sacrificial animals, and the animals with the hanging marks [268]. This is so that you may know that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and that Allah has knowledge of all things.

64. And the Yahud have said, "The Hand of Allah is tied up" [189]. Their own hands are tied up [190], and upon them is the curse of Allah for what they say. Rather, His Hands are wide open; He spends as He wills [191]. And what has been revealed to you from your Lord will only increase many of them in wickedness and disbelief [192]. And We have cast enmity and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection [193]. Whenever they kindle the fire of war, Allah extinguishes it [194]. They strive to spread corruption in the land, and Allah does not love the corruptors.

40. Do you not know that to Allah belongs the kingdoms of the heavens and the earth? He punishes whom He pleases [126], and forgives whom He pleases [127]. And Allah has power over all things.

36. Indeed, those who became [119] infidels, if they possessed all that is in the earth and as much more again to ransom themselves thereby from the punishment of the Day of Judgment, it shall not be accepted from [120] them, and for them is a painful punishment.

Indeed, the only retribution for those who fight against Allah and His Messenger [113], and strive to cause mischief in the earth, is none but that they be killed or crucified, or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides, or that they be exiled from the land [114]. This is for them a disgrace in the world, and in the Hereafter, there is severe punishment for them.

31.Then Allah sent forth a crow scratching the earth, so that he might show him how to bury the corpse of his brother [106]. He said: "Woe to me! I am unable to be like this crow and hide (bury) the dead body of my brother" [107]. So he became among the regretful.

18. And the Yahud and the Nasara say: "We are the children of Allah and His dear ones" [75]. Please declare: "Why does He torment [76] you for your sins?" You are but mortal human beings among those whom He has created. He forgives whom He pleases [77]. And to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and unto Him is the (final) destination.

17. They have certainly become infidels who said: "Messiah son of Mariam is Allah himself" [73]. Please declare: "Who can do anything against Allah if He desires to destroy Messiah, son of Mariam, or his mother and everyone on earth?" [74]. And to Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He creates what He pleases. And Allah has the power to do everything.

6. O you who believe! When you stand up for Prayer (Salaah) [37], then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe over your heads, and wash your feet up to the ankles [38]. And if you are in a state of Janabah (after sexual intercourse) [39], then purify yourselves well. And if you are ill, or you are on a journey, or any one of you comes from a place of relieving himself [40], or you have touched women and in these conditions you do not find water [41], then take clean earth [42] and wipe therewith your faces and your hands (for Tayammum). Allah does not desire to place you in any difficulty, but He desires to purify you and to complete His favour upon you, so that you may be grateful.

36. Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [90], as recorded in the Book of Allah [91], from the day He created the heavens and the earth. Four of these months are sacred [92]. This is the right religion. So do not wrong [93] yourselves within these months. And fight the polytheists altogether, just as they fight you altogether [94]. And know that Allah is with the pious [95].

74. They swear by Allah that they did not say it, but certainly they uttered the words of infidelity [207], and became disbelievers after accepting Islam. And they had desired that which they could not get [208], and what they felt bad about was that Allah and His Messenger had enriched [209] them with bounties. If they repent, it is good for them, and if they turn away, then Allah will punish them with a severe punishment in the world and in the Hereafter. And on the earth, they shall have neither any supporter nor any helper [210].

116. Indeed, it is Allah for Whom is the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He gives life and causes death. And you have no protector nor helper besides Allah [327].

And to the three who were left behind [332], so much so that the earth, being so vast, became strait [333] for them, and they became weary of their own lives [334], believing that there is no refuge from Allah except in Him. Then He turned to them to forgive them, that they might continue to repent. Surely, it is Allah Who is Relenting, the Most Merciful.
