16. Has not the time come for the believers that their hearts should feel humbled at the remembrance of Allah and for what has been revealed [51]? But they should not become like those who were given the Book before [52]. Then the term was prolonged [53] for them, but their hearts were hardened, and most of them are disobedient [54].

3. He sent down to you the Book with the truth, confirming what was before it, and He revealed the Taurat and the Injeel.

4. Before this[3], as guidance for mankind, and He bestowed the Criterion [4]. Surely, those who deny the revelations of Allah [5], they will have a severe punishment. Allah is the Almighty, Lord of retribution.

7. It is He Who revealed to you this Scripture. In it are verses, which are clear. They are the substance of the Book [8], and others are those in the meaning of which there is doubt [9]. As for those whose hearts are perverted, they will follow that which is doubtful. They are those who seek to mislead, maintaining their own viewpoint of it, and its right interpretation [10] is known to Allah alone [11]. And those who are firm in knowledge say: "We believe in it. All (of it) is from our Lord" [12]. And none has the grasp of the same, to the best, except those who perfectly understand [13].

50. And I confirm the previous book of Law (Tauraat), which was revealed before me, and making lawful to you, a part of what was forbidden to you [112]. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord so fear Allah and obey me.

53. O our Lord, we believe in what You have revealed and we follow the Messenger, so write us down with those who bear witness (116) to the truth.

65. O People of the Scripture, why do you dispute about Ibrahim [141], while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until after him? Will you not use your intellect? [142].

72.And a group of the People of the Scripture said: "Believe in what was revealed to the believers in the morning and later deny it in the evening; perhaps they may return [152]."

Please declare: "We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us, and in that which was sent down to Ibrahim, Ismail, Ishaq, Yaqub, and the Tribes [185], and whatever was given to Musa and Isa and the Prophets from their Lord [186]. We make no distinction between any of them [187], and we are Muslims [188] to Him."

4. And We revealed [14] to the children of Israel in the Book that surely you shall create mischief [15] in the land twice and you shall become excessively proud.

73. And indeed, it was near that they would have misled you from what We revealed to you [160], so that you might invent something else against Us [161], and then they would have certainly taken you as a close friend.

86. And if We had willed, We could certainly take away [184] what We have revealed to you. Then you would not find any protector for you against Us.

2. Surely it is We Who have revealed this Book to you with truth[3]. Therefore, worship[4] Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience.

23.Allah has revealed the best Book that is alike from beginning to the end (in beauty, truth and fairness), having repeated description (65) (promise of reward and award of punishment) at which do shiver (66) the skins of those who fear their Lord. Their skins and hearts soften towards the rememberance of Allah. This is the guidance of Allah. He guides therewith whom He Pleases (67). And he, whom Allah leaves to go on the wrong (68) way, there is none to guide him.

41. Indeed, We have revealed upon you the Book of guidance [101] for mankind with Truth [102] Then, whoso gets its guidance that is for his own good and whoso errs, he errs for his own loss (103), And you are not but a custodian (104) over them.

65.And indeed, it has been revealed to you, and to those before you that if you associate other gods with Allah, then surely all your deeds shall go in vain, and you shall certainly remain in loss [158].

157. Or, lest you say: "If the Book had been revealed to us, we would surely have been more guided than them." Indeed, there has come to you a clear proof from your Lord, and guidance and mercy [370]. So, who is more unjust than he who denies the signs of Allah and turns away from them? Soon We will make those who turn away from Our signs taste a severe punishment [371].

156. Lest you say, "The Book was only revealed to two groups before us, and indeed we were unaware of what they studied" [368].

Say, "I do not find in what has been revealed to me anything forbidden [328] to an eater except it be a dead body [329], or flowing blood [330], or the flesh of swine—for that is surely impure—or disobedience through which a name other than Allah has been invoked during slaughter [331]. But whoever is compelled by necessity, neither desiring it nor exceeding the limit, then surely your Lord is Most Forgiving, Ever Merciful [332]."
