36. They said, 'Make him and his brother stay and send collectors in the cities' [44].

37. That they may bring to you every big magician learned [45].

38. So the magicians were assembled together at a fixed time on an appointed day [46].

39. And it was said to the people, 'Will you assemble?' [47]

40. Perhaps we may follow [47] these magicians if they overcome [48].

41. Then when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh [Firaun], "Will we receive a reward if we are the victors?"

42. Pharaoh [Firaun] said, "Yes, and you will then be among those nearest [49]."

43. Musa [Moses] said to them, "Cast down whatever you are going to cast" [50].

44. Therefore, they threw down their ropes and staffs and said, "By the honor of Firawn, indeed, we are the winners" [51].

45. Then Musa threw down his staff, and it began to swallow up what they had fabricated [52].

46. Then the magicians fell down prostrating [53].

47. The magicians said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds."

48. "The Lord of Musa and Haroon."

49.Pharaoh said, 'Have you believed in him before I give you permission? Indeed, he is your leader who taught you magic. Now you will know [what will happen]. I swear I will cut off your hands and feet on alternate sides and crucify you all.'

50. They said, 'There is no harm; we are returning to our Lord [57].'
