12. Without doubt, we give life to the dead and we are noting down what they have sent forward [13] and what signs they have left behind [14]. And We have already kept counted everything in a Clear Book (15).

And calamities will continue to strike [87] the disbelievers for what they have done, or it will alight near their homes [88] until Allah's promise comes [89]. 110. When Allah will say: "O Isa, son of Maryam, remember My favour upon you and your mother [297] when I supported you with the Holy Spirit. You spoke to the people in the cradle and as an adult. And remember when I taught you the Book, wisdom, the Torah, and the Injeel [298]. When you fashioned from clay the likeness of a bird by My permission, then breathed into it, and it became a bird by My permission. And you healed the blind and the leper by My permission, and you brought the dead to life by My permission. And when I restrained the Children of Israel from you when you came to them with clear proofs, and those who disbelieved among them said, "This is nothing but clear magic" [299].

31.Then Allah sent forth a crow scratching the earth, so that he might show him how to bury the corpse of his brother [106]. He said: "Woe to me! I am unable to be like this crow and hide (bury) the dead body of my brother" [107]. So he became among the regretful.

You are forbidden (to eat) the dead [12], and blood, and the flesh of swine [13], and that on which any name other than Allah has been invoked [14] at the time of slaughtering, and that which dies by strangulation, and that which is beaten to death [15], and that killed by falling, and that which is gored, and that which has been partly eaten by a wild animal—except what you (are able to) slaughter properly [16]—and that which is slaughtered at altars [17], and that on which you divide by drawing lots with arrows [18]. All that is an act of sin. Today, the disbelievers have despaired of (harming) your religion [19], so do not fear them, but fear Me. Today, I have perfected your religion for you [20], completed My favor upon you [21], and have chosen Islam as your religion [22]. But whoever is forced by extreme hunger, without intending to sin [23], then indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful [24].
