54. Say, "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger [140]." So if you turn away, then upon him is only the duty [141] imposed on him, and upon you is your duty. And if you obey him, you will be rightly guided [142]. The Messenger's duty is only to convey clearly [143].

27. How then shall it be when the angels will cause them to die, beating[69] their faces and their backs?

38.Ha! You are those who are called upon to spend [92] in the Way of Allah. Then, of you some are misers[93]. And whosoever is a miser, is only a miser to his soul. And Allah is Self- Sufficient, and all of you are needy . And if you (94) turn your face, He will substitute for you another nation, and they will not be like you(95).

And please declare to those given the Scripture [44] and to the unlettered: "Have you submitted?" Then, if they submit (in Islam), they are rightly guided [45]. But if they turn away their faces, then your duty is only to convey the Message [46]. And, surely, Allah is seeing His devotees.

And indeed, Allah fulfilled His promise to you [325] when you were slaying them by His command, until when you lost courage and disputed over the command [326] and disobeyed after He showed you that which you loved [327]. Among you are those who desire the world [328], and among you are those who desire the Hereafter. Then He turned you away from them to test you, and indeed He forgave you [329], and Allah is the possessor of bounty over the believers.

97. And whoever Allah guides, he is the rightly guided; and whoever He leads astray, you will find no allies for them besides Him [200]. And We will gather them on the Day of Resurrection on their faces, blind, mute, and deaf [201]. Their abode is Hell. Whenever it cools down, We will increase for them the fierceness of the Fire [202].

109. And they fall down upon their faces, weeping, and it increases them in humble submission [224].

60. And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who fabricated lies [148] against Allah, that their faces will be black [149]. Is not the Hell an abode for those who are boastful?

157. Or, lest you say: "If the Book had been revealed to us, we would surely have been more guided than them." Indeed, there has come to you a clear proof from your Lord, and guidance and mercy [370]. So, who is more unjust than he who denies the signs of Allah and turns away from them? Soon We will make those who turn away from Our signs taste a severe punishment [371].

35. And if their turning away is hard on you [68], then if you are able to seek a tunnel in the earth or a ladder to the sky, and bring them a sign, [69] (then do so). And if Allah had willed, He would have gathered them all upon guidance [70]. So, never be among the ignorant ones [71].

4. And there comes to them no sign of their Lord’s signs, but they turn away from it.

43. And how will they make you a judge when they have the Tauraat with them, wherein there is Allah's judgement? Thereafter, they turn their faces from it, and they are not to believe [138].

6. O you who believe! When you stand up for Prayer (Salaah) [37], then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe over your heads, and wash your feet up to the ankles [38]. And if you are in a state of Janabah (after sexual intercourse) [39], then purify yourselves well. And if you are ill, or you are on a journey, or any one of you comes from a place of relieving himself [40], or you have touched women and in these conditions you do not find water [41], then take clean earth [42] and wipe therewith your faces and your hands (for Tayammum). Allah does not desire to place you in any difficulty, but He desires to purify you and to complete His favour upon you, so that you may be grateful.
