106. And do not invoke besides Allah that which can neither benefit you nor harm you [272]. For if you do so, then you will surely be among the unjust [273].

116. Then why were there not among the generations before you persons of virtue [225] who would have forbidden corruption in the earth? Except for a few of those whom We saved. And those who wronged followed the luxury they were given [226] and were sinners [227].

48. And how many towns that we let them loose that they were unjust [107], then I seized [108] them and to Me is the return.
