172.And [O Beloved,] remember when your Lord brought forth from the loins of Adam’s children their descendants [396] and made them testify against their own selves [397], [saying], “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes, indeed, we bear witness” [398], lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, “Indeed, we were unaware of this” [399].

20.Know that this worldly life is only a sport [63] and diversive amusement and an adornment, and a source of boasting among yourselves and a rivalry in multiplication [64] of riches and children against one another. It (this life) is like the rain whose vegetation pleases the tillers (65). Then it dries up that you see it yellow. Then it becomes (66) broken pieces. And in the Hereafter there is severe (67) punishment and forgiveness from Allah and His Pleasure (68). And the life of this world is nothing but a cheerful temporary (69) enjoyment.

Surely, in that you have signs, for you, if you believe.

We provide for them and for you [353], and do not approach shameful acts, whether open or hidden [354]; and do not kill anyone whom Allah has forbidden to kill unjustly [355]. This has He enjoined upon you so that you may understand."
