11.No calamity befalls except by the permission [27] of Allah, He guides rightly his heart [28]. And Allah has full knowledge of everything.

16. Therefore, fear [38] Allah as much as you can, and listen and obey [39], and spend [40]. It is better for you. And whoever is protected from the greed [41] of their own soul, they are the successful ones.

7.And when Our Verses are recited to him, he turns proudly away, as though he did not hear them, and as if there was heaviness [10] in his ears. Therefore give the news of a painful punishment.

5.He created the heavens and the earth with truth [13]. He makes the night cover the day and He makes the day cover the night [14]; and He has employed the sun and the moon into service. 22.Cannot such one, whose heart Allah has opened for Islam [61] (peace), possess a light (62) from his Lord? But woe to those whose hearts are hardened (63) from the (64) rememberance of Allah. They are clearly on the wrong way.

125. And whomsoever Allah wills to guide, He opens his heart for Islam [278], and whomsoever He wills to misguide, He makes his heart tight and constricted, as though he is being forced to ascend into the sky [279]. Thus Allah places impurity upon those who do not believe [280].

115. And complete is the word of your Lord in veracity and justice [251]. There is no one to change His words [252]. And He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

6. And if any of the polytheists seeks your protection [14], then grant him protection until he hears the word of Allah. Then convey him to his place of safety. This is because they are a people who do not know.

23.And one of His signs is your sleeping by night and by day, and your seeking [45] of His bounty. Surely in it are signs for people who hear [46].

52.Surely neither can you make the dead hear [117], nor can you make the deaf to hear the call when they turn away showing their backs.

53. And nor can you guide [118] the blind from their error. You make only those to hear who believed Our signs, and they have already surrendered [119] (to faith).

31. Say: "Who provides for you from the heavens and the earth [94]? Who controls hearing and sight [95]? Who brings the living from the dead and the dead from the living [96]? Who manages all affairs?" They will answer: "It is Allah." Then say: "So why do you not fear Him [98]?"

42. And among them are some who listen [124] to you. Then will you make the deaf hear [125], even though they do not understand?

46. Have they not traveled in the land [102] that they should have hearts with which to understand or ears with which to hear? [103] Certainly it is not the eyes that become blind but the hearts (104) which are in the breasts.

44. Or do you think that most of them hear and understand? [80] They are not but like cattle; nay, but they are even more astray from the path. [81].
