17. They said, "O our father, we went racing and left Yusuf [Joseph] near our provisions, then the wolf ate him[30]. You will not believe us, even though we are truthful."

40. You worship nothing besides Him but mere names which you and your forefathers have invented. Allah has sent down no authority for them. Judgment belongs only to Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him. This is the true religion [91], but most people do not know.

61. They said, "We shall try to get him from his father, and we will certainly do it."

63. Then when they returned to their father [131], they said, "O our father, the food grain has [132] been denied to us, so send with us our brother that we may bring food grain and we shall surely safeguard him." [133]

65. And when they opened their goods, they found their belongings returned to them. They said, "O our father, we desire nothing more. Here is our merchandise that has been returned to us. We will bring provisions for our family, safeguard our brother [137], and obtain an extra load of grain. This is an easy measure [138]."

68. And when they entered as their father had commanded [145], it did not avail them against Allah [146]. There was only a desire in the heart of Yaqub [147], which he fulfilled. And indeed, he is possessed of knowledge [148] from what We taught him, but most people do not know [149].

78. They said, “O Aziz, he has a father who is an old man [168]. So take one of us in his place. Indeed, we see that you are among those who do good [169].”

80. Then when they were disappointed [171] of him, they began conferring going apart. His elder brother said, "Do you not remember that your father had taken a solemn pledge [172] of Allah from you, and before this how you committed mistake [173] regarding Yusuf? Then I shall not move from this place until my father permits or Allah commands me [174], and His command is best."

81. Return to your father and say, "[O our father], indeed your son has stolen [175], and we testified only to what we knew, and we were not guardians over the unseen."

94. When the caravan departed, their father said, "Indeed, I can smell the scent of Yusuf [Joseph], unless you think me weakened in mind [200]."

99. When they all came before Yusuf [207], he took his parents in and said, "Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, in safety [209]."

100. He placed his parents on the throne [210], and they all fell prostrate to him [211]. Yusuf said, "O my father, this is the interpretation of my earlier vision [212]. My Lord has made it true. He has indeed shown me favor by bringing me out of prison [213] and bringing you here from the desert after Satan had caused discord between me and my brothers [214]. Surely my Lord is Subtle in His decree [215], and He is the All-Knowing, the Wise."

And order [61] the Muslim women to lower their sights [62] a little and guard their chastity [63], and show not their adornment except that which is apparent [64], and to place their head coverings over their bosoms [65]. And disclose not their adornment except to their husbands, or the fathers [66] of their husbands, or to their sons, or the sons of their husbands [67], or their brothers, or the sons of their brothers, or the sons of their sisters [68], or the women of their religion [69], or their handmaids who are the property of their hands [70], or servants provided they are not men of sexual desire [71], or the private parts [72] of the women. And do not strike your feet forcibly on the ground so that hidden adornment [73] may be known. And repent to Allah, O you who believe [75], altogether, so that you may achieve prosperity.
