154. And when the anger of Musa was appeased, he took up the Tablets [335], and in their writing, there is guidance and mercy for those who fear their Lord [336].

155.And Musa chose seventy men of his people for Our promised appointment [337]. Then when an earthquake overtook [338] them, Musa submitted: "O my Lord! Had You wished, You would have destroyed them and me before [339]. Will You kill us for what our foolish ones have done? That is nothing but Your test [341], whereby You cause those to go astray whom You will, and guide whom You will [342]. You are our Protector. So forgive us and have mercy upon us. And You are the Best of Forgivers."

164.And when a group of them said [375]: "Why do you admonish a people whom Allah is about to destroy or punish with a severe torment [376]?" They replied: "To have an excuse before your Lord, and perhaps they may become righteous."

167. And when your Lord declared that until the Day of Resurrection, He would send against them those who would inflict upon them a terrible punishment [380]. Indeed, your Lord is swift in retribution [381] and surely He is All-Forgiving, All-Merciful.

172.And [O Beloved,] remember when your Lord brought forth from the loins of Adam’s children their descendants [396] and made them testify against their own selves [397], [saying], “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes, indeed, we bear witness” [398], lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, “Indeed, we were unaware of this” [399].

187.They ask you concerning the Hour, when it shall come [425]. Say: "The knowledge of it is only with My Lord [426]. He alone will disclose it at the proper time [427]. It is lying heavy on the heavens and the earth [428]. It shall not come upon you but of a sudden [429]. They ask you as if you have already investigated it. Say: "Its knowledge is only with Allah [431]. But most people do not know" [432].

189. It is He Who created you from a single soul [439], and made for you therefrom a mate that you may find rest in her. Then, when he covers her, she bears a light burden and moves about with it. Then, when she grows heavy, both pray to their Lord [440]: "If You give us a good child, we shall surely be grateful" [441].

203. And when you do not bring them a sign, they say[457], "Why have you not selected one yourself?" Please declare: "I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord. This is a clear insight from your Lord, and guidance and mercy for a people who believe [458].

205. And remember your Lord within yourself, humbly and fearfully, and without uttering a sound [461] from the tongue, morning and evening [462], and be not among the heedless.

206.Surely, those who are with your [463] Lord do not become boastful of His worship, but glorify Him and to Him they prostrate.

2. And those who believe and do righteous deeds, and believe in what has been revealed [3] upon Muhammad [4], which is the Truth (5) from their Lord, then He will remove their sins (6) and make their condition good.

14.Is he who stands upon a clear proof[33] from his Lord, like those whose evil deeds have been shown fair to them, and they followed their evil intentions [34]?

The description of Paradise promised to the pious is that therein are rivers of such waters which never stagnate, and the rivers[35] of milk whose taste does not [36] change, and rivers of delightful (37) drinks, and the rivers of honey purified.(38) And therein for them are every kind of fruit,(39) and forgiveness (40) from their Lord. Can those enjoying such comforts be equal to those who remain forever in the fire, and are given to drink boiling water so that it may cut their bellies into pieces (41)?

7. And they carry your burdens to a land you could not reach except with great difficulty [9]. Indeed, your Lord is Most Kind and Most Merciful [10].

24. And when it is said to them, "What has your Lord sent down [45]?" they say, "Tales of the ancients" [46].

30. And it was said to those who feared Allah, "What has your Lord sent down?" They said, "Good" [61]. For those who do good in this world, there is good [62]. And the home of the Hereafter is better [63]. How excellent is the dwelling place of the God-fearing.

33. What are they waiting for [69] except that the angels should come to them, or the command of your Lord should come? Thus did those before them [70]. And Allah did not wrong them, but they wronged their own souls [71].

42. Those who are patient and put their trust only in their Lord [90].

47. Or that He may seize [98] them gradually. Indeed, your Lord is Most Compassionate and Most Merciful [99].
